This sounds similar, but not identical, to the KIDNAP command I had
suggested at one time.  While we're at it, we might even think about
having POW's rather than kill everyone in attacks.  So many might over
time be CONSCRIPTed if treated well.

In this case, these messages should have been limited to private
email, as they are between two parties. And, most roleplaying
should be limited to the Times. However, I would say that timely
messages, appropriate for everyone, are still welcome on this

Magma the Archmage and Sage,

I am interested in you Gathering, can you supply me with more details?
I haven't really decided on a faction type yet, but I seem to be having a
tendency towards Magic.  Anyway, my faction # is 82, and since I failled
to get orders in that accomplished anything (I payed my new units indtead
of GIVING them silver), I am open to possibilities.  I am still in
Atlantis City.

About the Atlantis Roleplaying mail...

Maybe some server could collect mail (that is to be distributed to
all players), and send them out in one large mail piece once per day,
so we only need to look up one piece of mail rather than one hundred
(exagerated, I know, but...)

The ftp site with the v1.1 code has been down for at least the last
three days.  Can someone mail me, post to usenet, or put this code
on another ftp site?  Thanx.

Also, has there been any progress on a turn checker, battle simulator,
map maker, or other atlantis tools?

p.s.  mailing to the entire list that the last mail was a waste of
      bandwidth is just as much a waste of bandwidth as the original
      offender.  Perfered coarse of action:  1) mail directly to the offender
      and tell him/her the problem.  2) Look up their faction from the
      player list and add them to your 'factions that need to die list'.
      3)  If you still have an overwelming need to post to the player
      list write something entertaining.
