The Parallax Society From: weberm@doi.state.fl.us (Mike Weber) Date: Thu, 26 Jan 1995 00:45:58 +0000 Form: Memo Text: (39 lines follow) PARALLAX - the distortion between reality and what is perceived. Such is the stuff Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror are made of. It is also the foundation for the Parallax Society, a national network for enthusiasts of all these genres. DIVERSITY - There is something for everyone with the Parallax Society. Nowhere is that more evident than with our affiliations. Fascinated with Science Fiction and Fantasy? We're a member of the National Fantasy Fan Federation. Specifically into Star Trek? The Parallax Society is associated with The Federation - The International Star Trek Fan Association. Intrigued by the dark forces of Horror? Come take part in our chapter house of The Camarilla - Coterie of the Enshrouding Moss. Fans of gaming, comics and animation are always welcomed! OTHER AFFILIATIONS - The Parallax Society is a member of the National Association of Fan Clubs. We're currently working on affiliating with other national groups such as the Friends of Darkover, the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror, and The Gathering (the official Highlander fan club). STAY TUNED... MEMBERSHIP - Your Parallax Society annual dues of $15.00 (Family membership - $20) gets you an annual subscription to our newsletter - The Convergence, a membership certificate, and a membership card. In addition to joining the Parallax Society, we encourage you to select the national affiliation that best fits your interest. Each has its own requirements for membership. We also greatly encourage aspiring writers and artists to submit pieces to The Convergence. Interested?
