Hmm, the lists use spaces, not tabs, to properly view you need to be using a non-proportional font. The FGZ even have a visa now. Can either side enumerate the public parts of the deal? I guess I have more respect for the Imperials as they are acting more like a government than a biased affliation. I probably wouldn't have had the restrainst to settle after one of my original characters and ships had been destroyed. I guess war would have been too much, but I would have dropped a bunch of goodies that I bet reside in Imperial storehouses on FGZ colonies and talked after. I wonder if we will see IMP running around in Baseships soon? ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 24 Jan 1995 11:55:04 -0800 (PST) From: Richard Chiang <richc@ocf.Berkeley.EDU> To: bse-digest <bse-l@consensus.com> Subject: RE: QSN ANNOUNCEMENT Message-ID: <Pine.APO.3.91.950124113924.2352C-100000@tempest.berkeley.edu> OOC. Let me clarify a few things. One we are not at war with the FGZ. If we were you would see a bunch of seed ships at all QSN colonies. Unlike the FGZ we have no limit in ship numbers and recent player additions make fielding a fleet much more possible. The FGZ have recently annonyed Tom and I for that matter. I am not really interested in the song and dance explanation for why. Jack needs to learn that veiled threats and refering to us an possible enemies does not win us over. As to what we will do, as you can see from the QSN Announcment there are many different sides. Some say it is a perfect time to take out someone as we will get our new ships grandfathered in before the game changeover. In any case, it is up to the FGZ to come to us if they want to resolve this. I would recommend to Jack that he come with a deal in hand. I personally am tired of being acccused of backstabbing when I have worked my ass (and phone) off to make relations better. Our actions will be completely separate from the PFM unless Jack does something more. But we are much more inclined to sell the PFM ships now or provide the PFM with the Mace entry point (I understand others are bothering Steve Brown with the same offers). It all depends on how Jack and Tom work it out. If Tom is still anonyed, maybe we will be very active in kicking the FGZ back to Mace or beyond. If things get settled, then maybe the destruction of a FGZ Baseship or two will be enough. The point is it is undetermined. Think of this as a demonstration of power. I don't like unfriendly email messages for things I did not do, so whatever we do, I wouldn't mind having a part in it. Finally, my last comment about aiding the FGZ will be considered hostile actions is a little too harsh. It is just a warning that you probably shouldn't have FGZ on your support/defend list in the coming months as you don't want to have your ship captured too by mistake. I would just recommend getting out of the way. If you have trade deals or such pending with the FGZ, feel free. If you don't think you are overly aiding the FGZ, then we won't probably either. Feel free to contact me if you have questions on something specific. I would consider giving the FGZ a large number of ships more than neutral or taking over FGZ colonies to shelter them also not very neutral. If you are planning just to make a profit off the FGZ, then go ahead. We are too. ------------------------------ Date: 24 Jan 95 17:09:14 EST From: Jim Gagliardi <73377.2042@compuserve.com> To: BSE Mailing List <bse-l@consensus.com> Subject: Just a Simple Test Message-ID: <950124220914_73377.2042_CHK2-1@CompuServe.COM> This is just a simple test message to make sure a I got my address book entry for this august group setup properly and to say "Hi". 8^) Dr. Noa Krieger Director of Research / Engineering Empire Engineering and Manufacturing (EEM) aka Jim Gagliardi ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 24 Jan 1995 22:37:21 -0600 (CST) From: Kerry Harrison <kerry@io.com> To: BSE Mailing List <bse-l@consensus.com> Subject: UK-BSE mailing list is up Message-ID: <Pine.3.89.9501242214.A17594-0100000@pentagon.io.com> <sent to old list address> ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Bent C Dalager <bcd@pvv.unit.no> Subject: UK-BSE mailing list is up To: bse-list@io.com (BSE Lista) Date: Tue, 24 Jan 1995 15:07:18 +0100 (MET) Hello, I have now set up a mailing list for the UK version of BSE. The QSN is currently hiring IND mercenaries for possible combat and great rewards. If you want to test the battle program out a little, email me for details. We offer the following things: 1. We will replace all ships in service to the QSN. It's a great time for battle before this ranking system goes in. You can lose your ship and get it back when the new system goes in. 2. Name your reward. Based on your service record, we can help you with lots of different things. Want another ship for the service?? We can do that. Upgrades are available also for service. Stellars can be arranged too. Hell, we don't care. Well maybe I don't care. It is not my stuff. I'm so crazy I will give it away. So, think about hiring out to the QSN. You will be IND and we will take full responsibility for any actions you take while in our service. You can't lost as we will replace your ship (probably with something bigger). You'll get paid to boot. All sorts of missions are available. Group rates can be negoiated too. Minister Anton Qutroh ------------------------------ End of BSE-L Digest 4 ********************* Up
