New Personal PBM... From: damien@u.washington.edu (Michael Davis) Date: Fri, 10 Feb 1995 08:02:54 +0000 here's the deal... i have just started a new PBM of my own...which definitely has its advantages and disadvantages...some of the advantages are: the game, as of now, only has ten players, and is VERY PERSONAL...and it's also free. i'm not familiar with any of the company pbm's, so i don't know how much you have to pay... however, the main disadvantages of my game are obvious: it is not a corporation's game, so it won't be as detailed or intricate to play...it might not even be as fun =(...but i have had EXTENSIVE experience as a DM in d&d, rolemaster, shadowrun...and other weird types of RPG's... ...like i said, my game was invented by ME, and me only, so it won't be as good as other games, but the flexibility is a bonus, and it is free and easy to join...just write me by e-mail: damien@u.washington.edu sorry about the 'ad'...i hate when people post their damn ads all over newsgroups...but this forum is dedicated to this topic, and there might be many newbies (and possbily vets who are sick of playing games with hundreds of faceless names...who knows???) out there who are interested in pbm games without all the bother of having to deal with the companies who make them...(although they likely have the best games!!! =)... ...anyway, thanks for your time, and if you're interested, then just write!
