Ok, then command "UNIT NEW #" has been fixed. (ie: This is now illegal.) If a few people would be willing to write some fake turn sheets, with lots of differetnt command, and lots of wrong commands, and send it in to see what happens, I'd apprecaite it. I'm too busy coding to write a lot of imaginaty test moves/orders... Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------- Date: Tue, 14 Feb 1995 13:52:38 -0600 (CST) From: Al Billings <mimir@io.com> Subject: Re: Atlantis 2.0 On Mon, 13 Feb 1995, Thanatos wrote: > I am somewhat concerned that (at least in Atlantis City) leaders will > lose 5 silver eash turn that they work. Yes, that is on purpose. ---------------------------------------------------------- Date: Wed, 15 Feb 95 08:18:59 PST From: "GDUNBAR.US.ORACLE.COM" <GDUNBAR@us.oracle.com> Subject: Re: Atlantis 2 : Questions on latest rules --Boundary-8634972-0-0 1) When in the sequence of play do "recruit" and "transfer" orders occur? Sharing maintenance costs is necessary for moving units who are fed at the destination. The GIVE order is processed before the MOVE. Any unit studying did not move and could receive the money with a GIVE order. Also, I would consider it important to not starve, but not as important to not study (charity to prevent death, but if you can't afford school, you're not going....). -- The Cold Warriors (Faction 145) ---------------------------------------------------------- From: cgg@mundil.cs.mu.OZ.AU (Christopher Geoffrey GRINTON) Subject: Atlantis : Teaching question Date: Fri, 17 Feb 1995 09:38:49 +1100 (EDT) I have a question about teaching: say I have unit A that has done 1 month's study in shoemaking. If this unit then teaches unit B that skill, does unit B get 2 months worth of study, even though unit A has only done 1 month study? A teaching unit gives an extra 300 days worth of skill up to a maximum of 30 per individual studying, and the units own studies give it 30 days. Thus a teacher with shoemaking 1 teaching 10 new recruits [elves, one presumes :)] results in Teacher with level 1 [30] and students at level 1 [60]. -- Matthew Taylor matthew@clark.net ---------------------------------------------------------- From: adrian@per.dms.csiro.au Subject: ATLANTIS 2 - teaching Date: Fri, 17 Feb 1995 13:26:53 +0800 (WST) re: Teaching.
