Wiley has served the AFT faithfully and tirelessly since he joined the Free Traders many years ago, and even stayed in your organization when the rest of the family chose to leave. He has worked his way through the ranks of mediocrity, to achieve Admiral status in your organization. And, according to your Negotiator, he was arrested and thrown into jail solely on the basis of his last name. "... Wiley Treyder, oh Wiley Treyder. Wherefore art thou Wiley Treyder..." I implore the AFT not to make my nephew drink from the bitter cup of injustice. For remember: "... A rose by any other name would be as sweet..." Do not confuse the FGZ with the PFM, "let's you and them fight!!!"...that is not the ways of the FGZ. Nor confuse us with the FOE, we do not break our (spoken) Word to our allies, as that would be less than Honorable. The FGZ have not "enticed" anyone into joining in against the QSN, as I am certain those who have "helped" us will attest to. Perhaps that is where your problem lies with the FGZ. You do not know us. We do not "hide" from battle, but we join. We do not seek "others" to fight for us, (as do the Quoomans) we fight our battles alone. If anyone cares to gain the glory of combat aside a FGZ ship, it is always to their credit, not their destruction. (Regardless of the outcome) We do not fight unless provoked, and we do not fight unless we can win... I would suggest you go back to your "home" and study prior to seeking "glory" with the FGZ, but alas, that will not happen as I can see you do not know yourself, or who you are fighting for, or against. Lord Den of Earth ooc- An interesting idea. Problem is that anyone who wants to come to the TH can...and there is NO WAY the FGZ would dare insult either the WCE or SAM by trying to engage them in their own space...that my friend, would truly be suicide! ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 10 Mar 1995 07:53:12 -0800 From: rboggs@isisph.com (Russ Boggs) To: BSE-L@consensus.com Subject: Re: CPT Deadline Message-ID: <v01510100ab8623545ff7@[192.65.129.70]> >Some of you may have already received Vol. 14, No. 1 of the new CPT. >I hope you liked it. The fact that the FGZ and the WCE jointly were involved in at least one stargate attack, and that there is a third party involved with said stargate disabling, should convince you of one thing - the transhole races are combining forces. They seem more united now than ever before. They want the transhole free of any potential aggressors, including the QSN. Not to mention that the QSN and the FGZ are at war. Could this possibly be the reason the stargates are going away? To prevent the QSN from staging a massive war fleet in the transhole? I think so. Your point may be valid, but it would very much suprise me to see the FGZ attack the WCE. The WCE has many former RIP members in its ranks, and they are rebuilding thier fleet as fast as they can. The WCE are no longer as weak as before, they are a force to be reckoned with. Caution is advised in travelling in the transhole if you are flying for the QSN. Now how about something for the role-players in the game? Specifically, I'd like to suggest two extra turnsheets: 1. Starport Complex Description Turnsheet This turnsheet would be used for placing a detailed description of a particular complex type at a particular colony. What I'm thinking of here is something similar to Barbara Ziemer's Checkoint Charlie's description. The colony governor would specify the name of the establishment, and a description of a visit there. Each complex type could be named/described differently. If RTG wanted to get really fancy, they could allow multiple descriptions for each type, and visiting characters would randomly receive one of the descriptions for that type. 2. Player Message Turnsheet This would allow any player to send a short, 2-line message out to other players. The sender could specify receiver as a single player, a particular affiliation, or to everyone in general. Price would be based upon audience size. 3. Character IDs This is not a turnsheet. I'd like to see the addition of four special items, starcaptains, colony governors, politcal leaders, and groundforce leaders. Each character in the game would be one of these four item types, and would be uniquely defined in the game system by a sub-identifier. Each character could then carry vital statistics, such as race, rank, etc, with him or her. I know that this is a lot to ask, but whatever can be done would make the role-players much happier. The vast majority of these cases have occurred in the Imperial Services because, as everyone knows, those guys have a lot of trouble getting dates (even more than SMS personnel!) and so are the major users of your products. Naturally, the Imperials have no desire to broadcast such facts. But I've heard many other terrible accounts from other colony governors. Here at Werth there have been several tragic cases involving individuals who decided to "take a walk on the USS side". The main problem appears to be with your Quman Mark III Special (the infamous "Yellow Sheep"). Some colonies may be facing population shortages because of these terrible devices.
