samurai armies ready to start From: jabmalin@dingo.cc.uq.oz.au (Bret Malinas) Date: Mon, 13 Mar 1995 05:35:13 +0000 I have been advertising on the internet for quite a while and am starting up a game called Bushido. It's a game set in feudal Japan with lots of battles. It involves taking on the Shogunate or the main honcho in Japan, or you can choose to defend him like a good sumaritan. Most players are feudal lords with a lot of independence. The Shogunate doesn't have much control over them, or the monks and shogunate generals in the Shogunate territory. But the Shogunate family, the Hojos, have a large army of 40000 samurai in Edo. To win you have to defeat this army and capture Kyoto and the emperor, who is a mere puppet of the Shogunate. I am just about ready to start playing, with only one player needed to get going. I hope you will play. I can accommodate another 4 players, maybe 5. If you are interested in more information, I can send a letter I sent to Alan. It has some information on the intro to the game and the fee required for postage. Yes, I can't send the rules over the internet. But I am prepared to consider using internet most of the time if you know a good system battles can be represented with. Yours sincerely, Bret. Up
