Magic: The PBM? From: csr100@unix.york.ac.uk (Chris Rudram) Date: Thu, 16 Mar 1995 13:44:02 +0000 Noticing the stuff about Magic: TG (tm), in the reports on the Birmingham Convention, has anyone considered/written a Magic PBM? It might well get more players into the hobby. Consider: Hex map. Each hex is a land type from the game. Magus is a 'counter' on the map and may move one hex per turn. Landing on a hex which is not yours basically adds it to your own pool of land. Spells: Libraries are set before play, so the game would have to just pick a random card out each turn. Creatures: Move across the hex map. Must get to opposing Magus to damage them. If they get to the Magus, and successfully cause damage, they are telepored back to a hex bordering the controlling magus. etc... My ideas are a bit sketchy... -- -------- Chris Rudram, Department of Electronics, University of York --------- ---|This Line for the Censors: DRUGS MURDER TERRORISM ANARCHY GUNS TREASON|--- -----------|This line is for the humourless: The above is a joke|------------- Up
