Description:

I have an idea for a game that I am looking for several people that would
like to collaborate with me in getting it going. This game would be an
RPG/Arena battle style PBEM.

Consider this message a roughly thrown together group of ideas that I have
come up with thus far and if you are interested in working with me feel
free to bring your own ideas. I guess I should start off with saying that
this is strictly a �In my spare time� idea. I don�t expect to make any
money and therefore don�t expect to pay anyone money for there service.

Let�s begin�.

What I would like to create is an arena style game loosely based on
Dungeons and Dragons, meaning people would create fighters, wizards,
thieves or any other number of classes along with many races. Just like an
RPG there characters will gain xp and gold and be able to purchase weapons
and armor to strengthen there character. They could travel from different
cities and go on quests. I have even been thinking about the ability to
create guilds and purchase homes or build castles. Much of this will be
accomplished via arena battles. For example if some player receives a
quest to rescue a kidnapped daughter from some evil thief then either the
player would then enter a battle with the thief and would fight him, or
maybe the thief is even stronger and has some protection so the player is
then entered into some multiple battle tournament where he has to fight
several creatures before he actually fights the thief and his wounds may
or may not carry over to each battle. Along with the battle it would be
cool to have some imaginative people create a descriptive battle and maybe
even some interaction between the character and the person that has the
quest in that way we could have some ongoing journal of sorts or history
of the realm. We could also have some players that may want to be evil and
say, steal some gold or a rare/magical item from someone/another player
and that would create a quest for people that want to return the item or
even steal it them selves and they would be entered into an arena fight
and the winner gets the item. On a larger scale if it got to the point
where PC�s created guild�s and built castles say to house there guild then
other guilds could try to attack each other to steal guild items or guild
treasure, Which could be large 20-30 man royal rumbles or single
elimination tournaments.

If the game got large enough it would be fun (I think) to put out some
sort of monthly newsletter that talks about the major goings on in the
realm, some guild being overthrown or a major character being beaten in a
battle.

These are my ideas so far, at this point I do not have any time of game
mechanics worked out as far as what character stats will be used how
battles will be fought what spells are available. Essentially I have
nothing but an idea in my head that you have just read about.
