All rise for Judge Ito <<OOC; I couldn't resist>> Fat-boy, this is not a criminal trial. this is merely an arraingment to see if a trial is warranted and to inform you of the charges against you. You are charged with crimes to numerous to name; a full list will be given to your attorney. Where is your attorney? [baliff wispers something in Judge's ear] I understand that your attorney, Otto Bongwater has had some trouble arranging transport on such short notice. No matter, his presence is not required here by law, at this early stage. Ever since ORIGINS moved to the 4th of July weekend, it has been on the decline. This has finally been realized by the CON organizers but it may be too late to continue to compete with GenCon. At any rate, since we are taking a show of hands on CON attendence, who plans to go to GENCON and who plans to go to ANDCON? I can assure you that the companies are sick and tired of you outsiders >treating the Periphery as open space while at the same time imposing all manor >of absurd restrictions on operations in your own territories. I for one am 'sick and tired' of having people like you use statements of generalization to lump other groups together with the one that has done something that you oppose. That tactic only serves to deliberately confuse the issue and to create hostilities towards those who do not deserve the hostilities. The individuals who know better will not be fooled by your message, but there are many who do not know what policies truely exist within the various groups and they are likely to miscontrue our actions - especially the SWN (Starcaptains With No clue) group <g>. The Myr have made known their policies to anyone who has desired to trade with us. Since you never approached us, you probably do not know. I suggest you contact you associates on the ACCC to learn of that policy. I COULD have protested the discrimination by Don Guido of his pricing policy for the korondite coating [cloaking or whatever it is], but his pricing policy is HIS policy. The same goes for the DTR. Their policy is their policy. You want to protest it, take it up with [ Carl ] personally, NOT where he is unable to properly defend himself. Speaker Silver Cascade, For the Myr! CATCH THE F*CK UP!!! > Uncalled for. You're right of course, but it's a required salutation if one is to graduate from the Tony Filiato school of comunication. I wonder if RTG can allow many more "affiliation" tags to break up the IND blanket. This would allow a lot of 'mom and pop' groups to fly their individual colors. My whole point was to stress the need for distinction between positions. That in a roleplaying game the player should not be considered and just because a player runs some company/government positions along with IND, no connection should be assumed. Of course the player might create a story that links them but without the story there is NO connection. Access to the farm tech was *not* going to be restricted. Even the IMP's would have been allowed to buy it (using IND ships). The faster you breed, the more slaves we will eventually have. At least the ISP did something (other than talk). But other than killing a couple of hundred of Celtians, their initial attack was ineffective (good old IMP's, killing innocent bystander from space so they can keep their pretty uniforms neat). Talk less and die quietly.
