This man was a productive member of society until he got into the drugs--it had nothing to do with whether or not what he was doing was illegal. And, no, I will not carry any debate offline because in those instances all that happens is we wind up saying the same things over and over and over. ie, debate over. I still think the negative effects of chemical dependency should be reflected in the game. Vickie ... Steve M. - ---------------- In char. To EEM PD: Fm: ISP PD Effective immediately, the IMP law regarding upgrades and new builds to Battleship class warships is hereby rescinded. The law regarding Dreadnought class is still in place. This change reflects the increased numbers of capital warships in the Periphery, and the acquisition of BS class ships by the enemy of humankind. The IMP recognises that companies would be hard pressed to defend themselves with mere PB's, and therefore is now allowing acquisition of BB's. ------------------------------ From: Jackmyster@aol.com Date: Thu, 30 Mar 1995 10:10:14 -0500 Subject: BSE: Re: BSE Digest V195 #123 **Joe Eckhout** **aka Scragg** Oh....please tell me your back in the game!!! Are Foelians such a feeble race that they must adapt to changing environments instead of changing the environment to suite them? Defend North Cape? That must be an attempt at humor, as any intelligent being can clearly see the Foelians are the aggressor in this incident. Chocolate: theobromine. As for the others, (satin sheets, etc.), you could generally categorize them as "standard of living" items. And yes, if the standard of living of your colony drops (no more luxury goods) without some other compensation, then the colony morale will drop. As to the five items, the current system only supports one item of each "type" to be given to the colonists. So, if you attempt to give sheep to your colonists when they're already getting grassjuice, the sheep overwrite the grassjuice and only sheep are given. The ACCC is an advisory council and has no executive powers at this time, but may be granted or grant itself such powers in the future. Areas of interest to the council so far have been trade, and defense. This council in no way will involve itself in affairs outside of Imperialy claimed space, so don't get paranoid. The councils first act was to settle the dispute between the SSL and the FET. The current issue before the council--guess. A formal, official, statement about the ACCC will appear in the next issue of the CPT.
