Filling in Diamond Paz's shoes here. I believe you are thinking of 500gc for the detect magic service. Hugh has yet to implement a sage service to identify items (I quit bugging him on it years ago). As you are in Barstow, Sir Bedivere with L5 or L6 Study Item is an honorable character who will also study items for you. Right now he is doing multiple studies on Jethro's Jade Dragon Head Pendant so you may have to wait a turn or two.... Other stuff... Sean's question on Detect Magic service....all it does is say whether an item is magical or non-magical. ReturnMagicField...If yes, print it's magical, if no nothing is printed.... Black Bracer and Red Bracer of Tyrn pretty much just enhance CM-Speed. Not by much, but probably has less % chance of disappearing than the Boots of Speed. Weapon enhancements by gold don't appear to do a whole lot. I sunk 27k more into Golden's longsword and it hasn't done much. Her and Coeus, though, were smacking a Weapon Resistant Shifter around pretty good this turn. It may have been the weapon or it may just have been that we haven't fought a Shifter in a long time. On Wokrob's talisman, it probably doesn't do much, but it is at least a bonus. Bloodbath Bob told me way back that all it did was vibrate every now and then and was pretty worthless. Coeus had Fineous' Lucky Charm for a few months a few turns ago, but it disappeared around 4 turns ago. He is thinking it helped him learn some skills, but he was unsure. Previous question from a few weeks back on CM-Speed at high levels... I'd have to say energy cost is the same. Golden is L6 plus Blessed Servant to Ulrick and I haven't noticed any less energy cost ever. Anyone else notice that on Barstow turn 111 the encumbrance statement on adventures would be one level more than usual? Both my guys were at very little encumb instead of my usual almost no encumb by the 3rd encounter. I did write a note to Hugh on this but he never replied. It was the usual feel almost no encumb this turn, though. Did someone ask how to use Mordtch's Summoning Tome? Oh, it's just you, Urklore. Like I'd tell you...hahaha! :) You annoyed Fenrir and me too much in Antar....we'll never tell! Mike (Golden, the now retired Lobo, and Dolgan) Referenced By Up
