Capt scragg Bite me is that a new battle cry for IND or just your? Admiral ,Warlox of Drell Lord Asakura Soteki ------------------------------ From: RFN2@aol.com Date: Thu, 13 Apr 1995 20:19:12 -0400 Subject: BSE: DTR Space, Revisited & Clarified From: Stefan Carlson, Speaker of the House of the DTR To: Mikel Lloyd, AFT Negociator Sir, You sould know that some RIP player has been using your name on-line to justify the operation of IND ships. If you find something "gauling" you should perhaps move to France, formerly known as Gaul. If you find our actions "galling", however, you should probably try to talk to (i.e. negotiate with) us. Since the DTR is not on-line, there has been a slight delay in my receiving your reply to the note I asked Rob Neal to post for me. You seem to be under several delusions, let us correct them: a) the DTR are human, and some of our families probably go further back in the periphery history than many of the AFT families; b) by treaty, the DTR are at peace with the Stellar Empire and have a charter to operate within the periphery; c) the citizens of our embassy, DTR Bome, are considered citizens of the Stellar Empire, and d) the DTR are not against trade. We have already sold ships to five affiliations, and goods to others, who bothered to negotiate (there's that word again) with us. Finally, you seem to assume that the AFT deserves to get something because the DTR and GTT concluded a deal which did not include the AFT. Sorry, we think that would set a bad precedent, If you wanted GTT Bome, you should have bid on it, instead of whining that you are somehow being cheated because we are not giving you something for nothing. Obviously, the wse of a spellchecker program is not high on your list of things to do: "hypocrosy", "extremly", "equalability" - huh? We never intended to impose all "manor" of restrictions (is that another way to say "houseful"?). We did mean to put some "manner" of restrictions on the operations of ships within DTR space, much as every government controls access to their own space. If you can't deal openly, honestly, and fairly with the DTR, then don't show up or we will shoot you. It has been brought to our attention that the AFT may have signed a treaty with the TCA in the past. If so, please send a copy since it is not in our files. No treaty, however, gives away the right of a government to control its own space. Being "free" does not give you the right to violate other people's rules or property. We are also "free" to keep our possessions away from you if we so desire. If the AFT Negotiator can fly off the handle like this over a simple matter of DTR sovereignty (which no one else seems to have misunderstood) we don't even want to deal with the NON-diplomats among the AFT. Therefore, all AFT ships are also banned from DTR space (systems 191,192, and 193) until further notice, which will not come until Mikel Lloyd apologises to the people of the DTR. At the same time, AFT ships are NOT welcome at DTR Bome, although, abiding by Imperial law, we will not target AFT ships at DTR Bome unless they attempt to land, hire an agent, or perform some other hostile action. Please inform all AFT ship captains that they will be targeted if they violate our rules. /s/ Stefan Carlson DTR Speaker of the House ------------------------------ From: RFN2@aol.com Date: Thu, 13 Apr 1995 20:56:17 -0400 Subject: BSE: SSL Dear Don Beardo Ladyo; IF YOU EVER TRY TO CHEAT ME AGAIN I WILL PULL OUT EVERY LAST HAIR ON YOUR BOYFRIEND'S CHINS!!!!! Yeah, those cards wern't marked....and I'm an IND in DTR space!!! I've never welched in my life (no matter what that pleasure slave at Werth says -IT WAS Rlo! [sorry, buddy, but I'm sick of taking the fall for THAT one]). You're lucky Sun Tzu was able to pull me off you with some of that martial arts stuff - which I've now started to learn! You think you've got a gripe after loosing a little money? Perhaps YOU sent that poor starcaptain on his War Galley's suicide run to take out the highport at Hypso....no you don't have the thorlium ones for that. But, if you ever come at me again with those goons and I'll send a few thousand Missles up your engine section; just like I did to that War Galley fool. As for Stu and Mikel, I ask them to forgive me for spilling my grassjuice all over their 'civies'; but from what I understand the SSL has developed (through necessity) the ability to remove gawd-aweful stains from one's clothing; and I'd be happy to reimburse you for the cleaning expenses -its not like you'll get a fair deal from the SSL, anyway. In closing, Don Girley Boyo, an old Earth song lyric: "every hand's a winner, and every hand's a loser. The secret is knowing what to throw away and knowing what to keep". Keep up your whining and I'll give you something to really whine about...... Now, where's that human with the two hearts and the 70 ship warfleet? Hear that sound Donnieo? There was no need to inform the QSN of a FGZ attack on an SMS stargate. Only the Qumans telegraph their moves. We theorize it has something to do with the tendrils on your temples. We violated no pacts. The FGZ America & FGZ Germania attacked the SMS gate, the QSN Lian-Chaa & AFT cutter defended the SMS stargate, and the WCE supported our TH Council ally the FGZ. The WCE & FGZ already have offered to assist the SMS in rebuilding the stargate when hostilities cease. That's a fact. A fact Lord Croft accepts and is willing to work with.
