As far as I can tell the QSN had a SoL in the FGZ systems, the FGZ requested they remove it, the ship stayed, so the FGZ captured it. This initiated hostilities. The WCE shut down the SMS stargate in Porkamo to deny the QSN warfleet access to WCE space. No RIP ships were involved. The AFT cutter destroyed, was as you suggest, an innocent bystander. Wasp, I disagree. The QSN are clever merchants. A study of recent history shows the Qumans have a knack for trading beads and trinkets for teleporters, cargo carriers, and colonies like GTT Viking. We can only hope a military man/woman with lots of $$$ answers their ad in the CPT. In 193 the Qumans sent 40 ships to attack WCE Eldorath while the colony was ungoverned. It took them 5 weeks, 1 GP, and 15 SoL's to capture Eldorath. It boggles the imagination to calculate how many stellar$ the operation must have cost. In 194 the QSN tried to steal our wormhole generator when they thought WCE Soul Cage was ungoverned. Fortunately for us Will Scaflock was in the command center. What would you do if you saw 50+ QSN SoL's in your orbit? Just what good 'ole Will did. Open fire. <g> The only thing I find sadder than the destruction of 48 Qumans ships, is the way over 30 of them were commanded by Ensign **"UNNAMED**. The complete disregard for the once proud title of starcaptain, and the bottomless bellies of the Qumans is a grieveous situtation - a subject not worth discussing with their propaganda minister. (supposedly "protecting" the PFM from our wrath...for attacking and destroying an unarmed FGZ vessle out "scouting" for markets) On 52/194 four FGZ ships (at that time IND) engaged two QSN SoLs in Merolla after the starcaptains refused to leave FGZ space. Then comes the "stargate" affair in which not only was an AFT ship destroyed, but another QSN SoL was DERed. While you did not believe that you needed to inform us of your upcoming attack on the gate, you did violate our non-agression pact. Governments can act in whatever manner they please, but they need to realize unless they have the support of the people then power is the only pillar that its support rests on. And what power giveth, power taketh > > There is a saying by Euripides: "Those whom God wishes > to destroy, he first deprives of their senses." > A very apt description of war. I would however recommend to any QSN and other traders that after a certain point trinkets don't go very far and don't build a lasting relationship. But it is up to you. Recent QSN leadership has been very successful in building our race since the IMP fiasco over Oududs. > In 193 the Qumans sent 40 ships to attack WCE > Eldorath while the colony was ungoverned. Eldorath cost the WCE 1000+ factories. More than a fair trade as well as appropiate revenge for the situation. > In 194 the QSN tried to steal our wormhole generator when > they thought WCE Soul Cage was ungoverned. Fortunately You seem to imply that the war was started to take advantage of a player less WCE. If the WCE had not aided the Far Swin. in reprogramming our security bots at several colonies, would we have attacked then? If you want to hurt someone, don't be surprised when they hit back hard. > for us Will Scaflock was in the command center.
