According to Admiral Seafeather, the EEM CEO had decided that the hiports at the two colonies needed to be replaced due to their age and rising maintenance costs. Lord Stu Krieger hired M&M Salvage & Hauling to dismantle the hiports and haul off the pieces. M&M told EEM investigators that they subcontracted the work to the Beezer twins, Kevin I and Kevin II. The two brothers took the 25% downpayment for the work, bought two surplus war galleys, armed them lightly and then attacked the hiports. The resulting explosions triggered EEM and other colonies' defenses, destroying the ships. There were no casualties on the ground. Admiral Seafeather had no idea why the brothers did what they did. He did comment that this was a "prime example of what you can expect when you use the lowest bidder." Both hiports have since been replaced with M&M paying part of the cost. The remainer of the subcontract fee remains unpaid as the Beezer brothers \\\|/// -(o o)- +------------------------oOOOo--(_)--oOOOo----------------------------+ | COM2: BBS | sysop: Sean Azhadi | | San Diego, CA. | Internet: sysop@com2bbs.com | | 619.737.0495 BBS 12 Nodes | Info: info@com2bbs.com | | 619.737.9659 voice | | +---------------------------+-----------------------------------------+ The contents of this message do not necessarily reflect the opinions of this BBS, it's operators or sponsors...
