After the first few truns some tactics comes into play in Lizards!. After about turn 8 or so, most of the free dens have gone, and players are looking at each others dens... and wars happen this way... Anyway ... After turn 8 - 12 most player will have 300+ Black Lizards, and Black Lizards and Yellow Lizards are where the real power and ability is. Because Black and Yellow Lizards are the first to "move" with in the turn sequence, they are very important. Chants are very usefull. The movement in Lizardsis quite slow (2 hexs per turn). But not if you use Temples, and Shunts. Other things to do are moving your bands around in numbers that look like Black Lizards ie. a band of 180 should be (or could be) a "Dark stack" and this carries more effective than just any band. Keeping your Black Lizards in lots of 50, is also good for shunts. If an enermy can see you move up (most of the time they can) with 2 bands of 180 then (180 is a Dark Stack), they will be thinking that they may be able to get one of your bands but not both - so will probably try to flee - using a "Shunt" or "Gate" chant, (that happens in the Artillery Phase also along with the "Dark chant".
