3 High Elves with Entertainment 1 in Atlantis City, which is where they
earned 42 silver total entertaining.  I would like to collect payment in
Atlantis City.

cjd@dce.vic.gov.au (Christopher Dowling) offers me 240 silver for all three.
 henry@onramp.net expresses interest at 85 silver each (this would total 255
silver, which I don't think I'll go below).  I hadn't really thought that
this would get down to picking between bids, but who am I to object?

Japan will be closed starting Wednesday until Sunday. It's Golden Week.
Don't bother sending mail. Noone will be here, honest. The whole country
is closed. Look, Mount Fuji, see the sign, "We are Croosed, Come back rater."
I mean it. We're all at home asleep. No banks, no taxis, no parks,
no restaurants. Closed. I'll come back monday morning and there will be
500 letters in my mailbox. Last Saturday was a holiday too. Yeah, Saturday
was a holiday, I took the day off. Look, at all the confused Geijin
(foriegners) walking the streets. They have no money, they didn't know
that the banks are closed for five days in row. The grocery stores are
all closed. You can't buy food. You can't get your hair cut. The department
stores are closed. If you want to eat at a restaurant you have to go
to Korea.
[I'm sorry this was completely unrelated to Atlantis. I just get stressed
during the holidays. I'll never post here again, honest. Sorry]

I had writte an order checker which is now avaliable for Sun (Os 4.1 and
Solaris), HP700 and IBM RS6000 under AIX

I can only send you the executable by mail (or the sources by mail too).

Geoff, a lot of people reclaim a FTP site to get the checker, can you put it
if I send you ?

Dear All,

Hello, it's me again (apologies to all who hate me mailing this list), and
again this mail concerns the Kashmar Klans up north!

I have been inundated with letters on the purchase of skilled leaders.
 Unfortunately for the majority a deal was struck early on in the week, so the two
leaders advertised are no more.

In the keeping with relations with other factions up here, (who shall remain
nameless as asked), I came to a bargain with the lucky buyer.

Don't fret all. I still have more (skilled) leaders that will come onto the
market in the near future. Just watch this space!

In keeping with tradition however, I shall hold an auction of the leaders
rather than hit the first come first served idea.

This style of auction is going to be a closed set, with blind offers coming
inand me posting the highest bid on the players list during each day.  The
highest bidder will know who they are (if they don't I'll mail you anyway)

But this is aside and not for a few turns yet!

Back to business again! I mentioned in previous mail that I was holding
classes, but the timing obviously STINKS as many people have expressed an interest,
only to pull out last minute!

I have a suggestion (God, not another Dave! Please hush up and let us get on
with it...!!!!)

Classes will be run when I mention it on the board (ie this mailing list) so
roll up now and I'll arrange times.  If you are late in announcing enrollment,
then you could miss out on a class!

Please keep mailing me, It gets me away from my work for a bit!!!

Subject: Atlantis-Script for checking units in orders

Hi,
If like myself you sometimes forget to include new units which have recently
been formed in you orders, here is a crude script for ypu.

All this script does is to generate 2 lists of units numbers, one from a
file contaiing your orders, the other from your last turn report. If the
lists do not match, you have forgotten to put a units orders.

To use it simply copy the lines below into a file and change the modification
so that it can be executed (e.g.  chmod 755 script_file).
To run the file the syntax is:
script_file report orders

The last part of the rules tells you the order in which orders are
processed.  Give is done #6 (I believe) while turn long orders are processed
last. (This *could* be wrong; the rules aren't here, but I'm pretty
positive).

Of course, you could just mail it to the people who've submitted
bids. If everyone with a leader to sell posts daily to the players
list, pretty soon we'll all be gagging on the spam.

For all those of us in the Stinchar area, David Shook maintains a list
of the factions around and posts it to them regularly. This enables
people to discuss local business without screaming to the whole world
about it. Couldn't some kind soul in the Kashmar area (and the other
large population centres) do the same ?
