Galaxy - Recommend email s/w please From: simon@sandj.demon.co.uk (Simon Reed) Date: Sun, 30 Apr 1995 00:00:00 +0000 I have been playing Galaxy for some time from work using MSMAIL. That was very convenient since when you reply it does not put "< " at the start of the reply - it expects you to put the reply text at the start of the oriinal message instead. This means that when sending orders, you "Reply All" to your last orders and change the bits you want. Furthermore, since it is Windows based I could view my last turn report and diplomatic messages while creating the next orders. *Very* easy. Since changing jobs I now have to send email from home and am currently using PCelm for email. What email s/w would allow me the simplicity I had before? Since I am using a modem link to a service provider (Demon) I suspect I cannot use MSMail. So, what do you use for your Galaxy orders that you consider helpful for the purpose? I am using a stand-alone PC running DOS 6.2 with Windows 3.1 and am sufficiently technical to be able to use non-idiot-proof s/w. -- Simon Reed, simon@sandj.demon.co.uk "If you're not playing Galaxy, then you ought to be GMing it!"
