Steve- I suppose its got to be hard for the rest to figure out whose talking to whom? <g> Todd Bolan was very "hard to the core" about the class 5 ruling. Joe- If you remember, we bought DTR Starport from the RIP and after all Todd had to go through trying to get rid of that class 6 he was determined we wouldn't just be able to buy big colonies again. Talked to him about 2 yrs ago and he's still alittle touchy about that whole "Ens. Rambo" thing. <g> Also, remember Rob. The guy who joined the DTR during the war. He went over with a posted class 6 colony in Jovian that never fell either. As part of the treaty-alliance we had to move it back into the DTR systems because it exceeded the class 5 rule and turn over DTR Starport to the IMP. You're right ofcourse, none of the TCA players minded much. Steve- I'm pretty sure the CIS treaty was put up by er... well I guess you can't say that name here...but it watered down a few points into more open wordings. Its actually softer on the TCA in a lot of parts than the original. Again, if you've been playing with it this long then it shouldn't matter much. You still have final approval before colony sales... and being to much a military advantage is still good grounds for denial. Have fun! -Steve Messer How would you begin to remove DTR Bome? Could IMP Secudus compete factory production wise? And! is the DTR shield special ability still in effect? It was "12.5" times more effective on colonies, so you may have already lost. I don't mean to pick on Steve Matthews but it seems obvious that treaty or no-treaty. Given the past of the DTR-IMP or TCA-IMP that anyone selling a mega "8" in the Home system to the TCA is either out for themselves or a traitor, its simple. Also, by the treaty, do you have your mega"8" in the T-Can? If you do its fair...so ask for it. Steve-I think you've been taken advantage of by opportunists. ------------------------------ From: wayne.alexander@linxinc.com (Wayne Alexander) Date: Thu, 27 Apr 1995 00:07:00 GMT Subject: BSE: TCA Treaty To Whom It May Concern, I have a copy of the TCA-IMP Treaty as provided to me when I took over as ICN PD from Tigran Petrosian. It is the treaty posted to CIS, and does not carry any restriction on colony class. As far as I know, and am concerned, that is the treaty that exists between the two groups. I believe that Star Adm. von Ludendorf will back me up on this. I've never heard of any doctored versions, although some people may have copies of rough drafts, etc. Star Admiral Dax Krieger former ISP/ICN PD - --- ~ QMPro 1.53 ~ There's nothing like the personal touch of a hired goon. ------------------------------ From: "Richard A. Loutzenheiser" <76311.2317@compuserve.com> Date: 27 Apr 95 11:16:03 EDT Subject: BSE:SAM Announcement UPI-16/195 (Pasive, Watson System, Samillian Hegemony) The world was startled today with the announcement of a new governor for the Watson Hive. Governor Kayahsota, a follower of the feared Vice Admiral Sagoyewatha and an adherent to the teachings of the Gaiwiio, (the good word), has been appointed as the new governor of this hive by its Queen. VADM Sagoyewatha is a fierce warrior and the chief orator of a moiety of Samillians who insist upon pure and traditional Samil- lian ways, which they call the Gaiwiio. They are known collec- tively as the Houdenosaunee Kanonsionni (translated in English as the Samillian Precept Council, or simply the PC). Among their beliefs and principles is their absolute loathing for human bastardization of the Samillian tongue. Most humans have been unable to master the pronunciation of Samillian names, so ships and colonies have taken on English nicknames such as "Home Hive", "Watson Hive", "Pecula Hive". Governors and starcaptains have also been given nicknames such as Mantis, Blue Bug or Red Jacket; the last of which is the common nickname for VADM Sagoyewatha which refers to his distinctive body colouring. VADM Sagoyewatha, whose name actually means "keeps them awake", and the other devotees in the PC, despise these pejoratives and insist upon the utilization of their Samillian names. According- ly with the appointment of Governor Kayahsota, Watson Hive will now be known as by its Queen's name: Gaskosada, meaning at the falls, which is a reference to the beautiful electrified shimmer- ing neon/waterfall located near the colony. Of additional note is the fact that Samillian ships of the PC are often known by the name of the starcaptain only, bearing no permanent name such as Versailles or Ville de Paris. The resurgence of this moiety within the revitalized Vizier Mass portends of an interesting future. The PC see themselves as missionaries of the Gaiwiio who must travel the universe spread- ing the word and converting the inferior. Additionally, they find the veneration and presevation of their ancestors to be of great importance and accordingly they are among the leaders of Samillian exploration and archeaological efforts. They tend to view their religion as a personal issue and are therefore quite tolerant of other races so long as they do not offend their beliefs or interfere with their customs. Furthermore, as with all Samillians they work toward the common good of the mass regardless of an individual's spirituality or moiety. ------------------------------ From: "Richard A.
