Please, everyone, note that you can contact people directly if you know
their faction number. That is the whole point of the list of players at the
atlantis ftp site. Don't waste space on the mailing list.

Also, maybe one of the Atlantis homepages should have the list of players.
I haven't noticed that anywhere.

Does an assassinating unit get a bonus for riding
 a horse (and with the skill)? I know they do not
 get an armor bonus, but I don't think the manual
 mentions anything about having a horse.

I've had a 'free day' to get some things done, and as a result I can now
annouce that I've done a Major Overhaul of my Atlantis Homepage. The annoying
background and colour scheme is gone, and I've double-checked the links. This
Homepage now offers :

- A quick reference set of links for players to find useful info (rules in
hypertext, instructions, maps, times, etc).

- An introduction to Atlantis for those who don't know...

- ...Including how to start up, and suggestions for those having trouble with
the mailing list.

- An atlantis Links Section. Currently Five Homepages - all REVIEWED with a
paragraph of text to describe them. Links to the most informative sub-pages
too...

- An Atlantis FTP Section.

- FTP SITE
	- RULES
	- PLAYERS LIST
	- TIMES
	- INSTRUCTIONS
	- COMMON MISTAKES
	- RETRIEVE the MAPPERS.

- I can put people's ASCII help files/treatises on skills on it too if they
want. (must be of useful relevence to the game).

Obviously I would like your comments about it if you've got the time or the
resources.

Please send me any URLS that aren't on it. Unfortunately, I don't currently
have the disk space for a large number of gifs, but if someone can produce a more appropriate one than the one I've chosen for the top of the page, please
letme know!

ftp.rahul.net, in the pub/atlantis/submissions directory,
and I thought you might be interested in seeing it. Also,
if I have made any mistakes in the information below,

This directory contains some player written utilities for
the play-by-email game Atlantis 2.0.

My policy for this directory is to accept sources for unix
programs, and executables for PC or Mac programs. My quota
on this system makes it difficult to store (bloated) unix
executables. If you have any submissions, uuencode them
and send them to atlantis@rahul.net.
