Looking for role-players!!! From: Ian Reid <intermage@delphi.com> Date: Sun, 07 May 1995 00:00:00 +0000 I'm looking for players for an e-mail campaign I'm starting. I'd prefer veterans, but anyone with some spark of creativity and imagination will do. I'll be using modified FUDGE rules (you can find them at ftp.csua.berkeley.edu in the pub/fudge/rules directory). The campaign setting is this: In the latter half of the twenty-second century, at the height of corporate dominance of the world's governments, a hidden complex was discovered under the streets of Lunar colony during routine mining operations. Half a mile beneath the Moon's surface, these underground tunnels and caverns were a scientific discovery of cataclismic proportions. The complex was home to secret yet incredibly advanced technology thousands of years old. There were computers of unimaginable speeds, hand-held weapons of terrifying force, and enormous space ships with the ability to travel to the edge of the galaxy and beyond. The year is now 2184. Scientists have come to Lunar colony to study the computers of the complex, while the weapons have been sent to Earth for analysis at several corporate headquarters. Lunar colony has become a bustling space port, and its citizens cry for independence. The great ships now stream in and out of the solar system, piloted by unknown means to recently founded corporate colonies. The pasengers of these flying monsters are Earth's wealthy, adventurous, and ambitious. Flung though hyperspace, the ships take their crews to strange, exciting worlds. The crew can find their fortunes in the outer limits of space... as well as their deaths. If you're interested, send me a character concept. This is a TEXT description of your character. It includes physical characteristics, personality, motivation, occupation, history, allegiances, abilities, skills, etc. The campaign in some ways be shaped around these characters, so have a blast! I'll be working with you in the character's creation. I'll probably go for any character concept, as long as it fits the setting and is balanced. Characters can be anything from corporate ship crew to millionaires to stowaways. The important thing to remember when we start play however is that, although PCs are always dynamic, YOU MUST STICK TO YOUR CHARACTER CONCEPT!!! Your character should have a reason for doing what he does, and most likely will react in similar ways to similar situations (unless you intend to play a loon from Belview, and I suppose even then that's part of the concept...).
