This list is meant for all players in the Atlantis 2.0. Mail sent to this list should be appropriate for all players of Atlantis 2.0. Rules questions should probably be sent to the moderator (atlantis@rahul.net), he can then forward the question and answer to the list. Role-playing is appropriate, but faction-to-faction email should not be sent to the list. To send mail to everyone on this list, send mail to: atl-players@tango.rahul.net Please include the word 'Atlantis' in your Subject line, so the other recipients of the list can identify your message. If you wish to be taken off of this list, just let me know, at atlantis@rahul.net. You do not need to be on this list to play Atlantis 2.0. ---------------------------------------------------------- Date: Mon, 8 May 1995 05:18:58 GMT From: anthonyc@cet.co.jp (Anthony Chow) Subject: WWW Pages Ahem. I see from the list of WWW pages that there are really only two player based Atlantis WWW pages. If people would like, I could be persuaded to open a uhm, "Atlantis 2.0 WWW trailer park" for Homeless Web Folk. I already have a small (but growing) collection of faction coats of arms. (*.gif format is best send them with a brief description of your faction.) Homeless web folk could send me *small* write ups on their factions and I could web publish them for a limited time. Basicly, I can handle anything Ascii. I however would be interested in building an Atlantis 2.0 Almanac to go along with my maps. I am based in Kashmar, if players in other cities could report on power struggles, dominate players, claimed territories, and regional histories on a continual basis. I would like to organize them into an encyclopedia format for web users to read. I will be putting together a collection of turn reports and sample orders for new players to use. www.cet.co.jp/~anthonyc/homepage.htm anthony p.s. I only request payment after people receive the information & then only if they are satisfied that they was worth it. If they feel it wasn't worth it, they don't have to pay anything. I know that when I started out this info would have saved me several wasted moves & frustration & would have welcomed this info. Getting this info piecemeal by posting questions to Alt- players just isn't time effective. Plus, I am continuing to edit & append all info on orders/rules appearing on the net in a concise form. With all the answers I append the email address of the writer so the newbie can contact the person for additional info. So in addition to sample orders, people are getting what amounts to a newspaper column on questions & answers, along with a directory for information. > Received: from SpoolDir by DEFENDER (Mercury 1.20); 7 May 95 16:37:59 -0600 > Return-path: <swater@glob.chautauqua.com> > Received: from glob.chautauqua.com by Defenders.org (Mercury 1.20); > 7 May 95 16:37:52 -0600 > Received: by glob.chautauqua.com (940816.SGI.8.6.9/940406.SGI.AUTO) > id NAA29275; Sun, 7 May 1995 13:39:02 -0700 > From: "Adam Waters" <swater@glob.chautauqua.com> > Message-Id: <9505071338.ZM29273@glob.chautauqua.com> > Date: Sun, 7 May 1995 13:38:50 -0700 > In-Reply-To: "ROB PETERS" <RPeters@Defender.Defenders.org> > "\" (May 7, 3:30pm) > References: <31FF91B36EB@Defenders.org> > X-Mailer: Z-Mail (3.2.0 26oct94 MediaMail) > To: "ROB PETERS" <RPeters@Defender.Defenders.org>, > Marc Siegel <ae485@freenet.toronto.on.ca> > Subject: Re: \ > Cc: Jeff Baclaski <jbaclask@adnetsol.com>, atl-players@tango.rahul.net > Mime-Version: 1.0 > Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii > X-PMFLAGS: 34078848 > > Marc, Jeff, and all new players... > > Don't pay ANYTHING for this information. > There are other ways to get ahold of it for free. > Keep looking, and keep asking until someone helps > you for out... > > Beedofast 349 > > > -- > > Adam Waters > swater@glob.chautauqua.com > (415) 329-9619 > > ---------------------------------------------------------- Date: Mon, 8 May 95 14:16:35 BST From: dean@memex.co.uk (Dean Burton) Subject: Atlantis I am thinking on making a move to Komaken to settle down and study.
