It happened for a second time.

Though I used line completely copied from the rules
(form new 1) it returned me error You must define an alias..

And what's more, that appeares not allways, but about
every second round. Sometimes the same order has success.

What's the matter ?

Subject: WAR ! South of Sledmere

In the forest of Corinth south of Ellesmere (47,55),
a man, named Parafael, leading 20 Barbarians and
15 Vikings killed ALL the people in this region,
without warning !!!

The main troops in this forest belonged to spanish
war factions (mest.unizar.sp), but THERE WERE ALSO
SOME PEACEFUL TRADERS, like mine !

This forest is now full of blood. The blood of a guy
who claimed this region too early, but also the blood
of many poor guys, blocked in this forest by the torrential
rains of the winter !

All those people have been attacked one by one, that's why
they all died. Let's ally us now. There were a lot of peaceful
traders south of Sledmere. Now, there will be wariors...

what you do is :

FORM 1

and then refer to it using NEW 1

ie.

UNIT 500
	FORM 1
		CLAIM 180
		BUY 3 HEL
		WORK
	END

GIVE NEW 1 3 WAGONS (can't remember abbrieviation)
	WORK
	etc...

UNIT 510
	JUMP UP AND DOWN
	GIVE NEW 1 3 HORSES (can't remember abbreviation)
	etc...

I *think* that is right (see dave ;-)

On the subject of Homepages...

I've just pulled a few stings and had the hard disk space for my Atlantis
pagedoubled, so keep those submissions coming!

New spells and skills will be going on today.

I'll try to get the hypertext adaptation of Rob's newbie help on-line just
after my exams (two weeks ish).

My Atlantis page changed directory recently, owing to the influx of
submissions. I accidentally posted the old address to the times. There is a temporary
link that makes that old address work for now.

And me. In 2 out of the last three months, I accidentally asked for one more
HEL than I could afford. I could afford 90+, so should have got something, but
the report said I bought none.

I had a mailer crash over the weekend recently - perhaps I missed the mail
about this.

Subject: Advance & Move

If a unit advances will hostile units have a chance to avoid battle
by issuing a move command the same turn ? i.e Will they move out before
battle ensues. The sequence of events is a little hazy as it states

ADVANCE and MOVE orders are processed (including any combat resulting
from these orders).

Any ideas ?

Subject:       capturing towns

Has anyone had success yet in taking over a town or city?  Does
anyone know what happens to the town guards if your attack fails but
you succeed in killing some of them.  Do they regenerate next turn?
Or does the number of guards stay diminished so you can nibble away
at them turn by turn?
