UPI-20/195 (Ovum, Kellon System, Samillian Hegemony)

The universe was stunned today by a dramatic reversal of Samillian policy.
Vizier Ganeodiyo, the Samillian Foreign Minister, announced a potentially
fundamental change in Samillian ship transfer policy: the sale of cargo
carriers to non-members of the Vizier Mass.

SAM researchers at Plythland Hive are reportedly near the realization of the
bulk transport specialized cargo carrier.  This significant new starship
technology will double the capacity of the galaxy's largest freighter while
simultaneously reducing its efficacy as a troop transport.  While not currently
available, informed sources believe that the first Bulk Specialized Cargo
Carrier will perfected within the current year.  Additionally, it is
conceivable that other shipyards will perfect this specialization
simultaneously, thereby creating alternative venues for upgrade.

With these facts in hand, Vizer Ganeodiyo announced that the Samillian High
Council has reconsidered its longstanding prohibition against the transference
of Cargo Carriers (CC) outside of the Vizier Mass.  Under the new Samillian
policy, CCs will be available for all those who have heretofore been qualified
to trade with the Samillian Hegemony, under the same terms and limitations as
other trade relationships, with the additional proviso that all CCs sold will
be bulk transport specialized.  Until such time as this new technology is
online at a Samillian shipyard, the Vizier Mass will allow for individual
Samillian colonies to arrange for the specialization to be incorporated at any
shipyard capable of the task, at the discretion of the colony governor.

Vizier Ganeodiyo stressed that this announcement was not a solitication for
sale, as the technology is still unproven, but rather a notification of the
intent to sell.  When asked to speculate as to the price of CC's he replied
that the market will tell, but that he would not be surprised to see a
substantial decrease from the amount reportedly paid recently at a public
auction of a reconditioned CC.

Barbarian Affairs.  His title is usually translated as Foreign Minister in
deference to the sensibilities of the lesser species withwhom he is called upon
to consort with.  He is a member of the moiety of the Houdenosaunee Kanonsionni
and a strict adherent to the Gaiwiio (the True or Good Word of the Ariziel).
As such he takes every opportunity to spread the word and convert the heathen.
Extensively traveled and well educated, Vizier Ganeodiyo can communicate in six
languages in addition to Samillian (English, Catrark, Leodian, Flagritz, Far
Swinette, and French) and its bastardized sub-languages (Kazereckii,
Pompillidae and Jihad).  As a member of the High Council, the foreign minister
is in permanent residence at SAM Onondowagah (Home Hive) and supervises
Samillian Ambassadors that are appointed to travel throughout the universe.

Eagle has a LONG history of being fiercely loyal to the Empire. From an
in-game perspective, I can't imagine Eagle affiliating with ANYONE besides
the IMP or EEM except by force of arms.

Republic would openly back an known outlaw affiliation such as the RIP in
their attacks on shipping and other assets inside the Stellar Empire's
Capellan Periphery territories.  Prehaps the Stellar Empire was to quick to
settle matters with the Flagritz over the Flagritzville incident?

against urine colored bugs! How many "attacks" have the KZK "threaten" to
launch it is short 12 week life?

Either way, should the Imperails request us to not get involved, we will not.

Acutally KZK are white in coloration.  The KZK haven't "threaten" to
launch any "attacks".  Again your intelligence on the matter is quite
lacking.
