Well the reason for this is that the sysadmins at io.com in their infinite wisdom decided to upgrade several things at once (new OS, new software, new hardware) and this has caused several problems with the Majordomo listserver. I view the entire situation as unacceptable and have moved the list to another system (fc.net) as of now and will be moving the anonymous ftp site to this system also later next week. The address to send messages to for posting to the list and digest is now bse-list@fc.net. Note: I know of about 25 messages that were sent to the io.com that didn't get posted I will be posting these to the list shortly. If you sent a message to the list and it didn't show up and it's not in the group I'm fixing to post then please resubmit it to bse-list@fc.net. It's kcurnutt@metronet.com I'll still be on CompuServe almost daily, so those who are on CIS can continue to send mail to me there, but I'd appreciate all internet e-mail directed to the above address. Thank you for your time. <g> Kevin ------------------------------ From: Kerry Harrison <kerry@freeside.fc.net> Date: Sat, 20 May 1995 15:01:13 -0500 (CDT) Subject: Market Restriction List Idea <REPOST> Date: Mon, 15 May 1995 19:35:22 -0400 From: NoaKrieger@aol.com To: bse-list@io.com Subject: BSE Market Restriction List Idea [OOC] Thad, Do you think that you guys will ever be able to introduce the idea I sent you concerning a Market Restrictions List? The list contains those positions / affiliations that a colony will not interact with in any way (market transactions, use of any complexes, etc.) without having to post the positions / affiliations. It would be a great way to "refuse" to deal with someone without having to shoot at them. I'm a peaceful sort and prefer peaceful (and easy to setup) ways of snubbing someone.<g> All in all, the new rules look great! Battle reports might count as an additional 140 or 280 TUs to >reflect the rewards of serving in battle. I LIKE this idea! It rewards players for running ship turns and RTG benefits because people have another incentive to run turns. [OOC] Actually, I use the MS Word forms that were uploaded into CompuServe awhile back. I'm not sure who did it, Chip did you? Then, I use WinFAX Pro and fax the turns in. I keep the files in order online by using a naming convention that includes dates and position names. It's a system that works fine for me. However, I believe the forms are passworded and I want to make a couple of changes to them. Anybody know the passwords? Lord Den of Earth, Flagritz interventation into what we view as a minor police action against pirates operating inside the Capellan Periphery is not warranted and if you pursue such action will result in a declaration of war between the Kazereckii and Flagritz. We also find it very interesting that a state such as the Flagritz Republic would openly back an known outlaw affiliation such as the RIP in their attacks on shipping and other assets inside the Stellar Empire's Capellan Periphery territories. Prehaps the Stellar Empire was to quick to settle matters with the Flagritz over the Flagritzville incident?
