ATLANTISv2 atl-players-digest #69 From: csd@microplex.com (Christian Daudt) Date: Tue, 23 May 1995 00:00:00 +0000 I thought I was going to get thousands of responses asking me to keep this digest (maybe I just wanted to massage my ego ;-)) But I received enough responses, so I'll keep the digest going. ---------------------------------------------------------- Date: Mon, 22 May 95 07:51:33 PDT From: "GDUNBAR.US.ORACLE.COM" <GDUNBAR@us.oracle.com> Subject: Re: Advance & Move --Boundary-10487077-0-0 In this case, there's no way to tell. Orders within a region are executed in the order that the units appear on a turn report, but the order in which regions are processed is unspecified. So, it depends on which MOVE gets off first. The sequence of events is a little hazy as it states ADVANCE and MOVE orders are processed (including any combat resulting from these orders). Any ideas ? A question (to Geoff or whoever can answer). The magical items creatable by spells (gloves of strength, wands of fire, etc), are they used up in on (combat\turn\use), or are they permanent or with a certain number of charges? This is quite important to me, as my allies will support my mages in exchange for magical items. Kristian M. Pettersen (FE6@stud.hibo.no) (sig. sigh. Combat at sea? Units with the Healing skill have a chance of being able to heal casualties of the winning side, so that they recover rather than dying. Each character with this skill can attempt to heal 5 casualties. Each attempt however requires one unit of Herbs, which is thereby used up. Each attempt has a 50% chance of healing one casualty; only one attempt at Healing may be made per casualty. Healing occurs automatically, after the battle is over, by any living healers on the winning side. What does having a healing skill of 2, or 3, or more do in terms of healing after a battle? (I'm not talking about possible new skills or special features, just the 2x better per level thing... DOes that apply here?) Can two ships at sea fight? Can you transfer men between ships if they are allied/friendly/whatever? ---------------------------------------------------------- Date: Tue, 23 May 1995 12:40:13 +0100 (WET DST) From: u0904872@soneto.etsiig.uniovi.es (AL PERTIERRA) Subject: Reasonable dudes... Well, if i don't badly remember when started playing the game it's said that players can only have a faction, and anonymous mailing services will not be accepted... By the way, i've seen that some factions use these services of anonymous E-mailing..... don't Know why... Most i see is that there are two factions (1 perfectly identified and 1 from an anonymous server ( from @anon.penet.fi .... i know it 'cos i've got an anonymous account there....)) that used to write similar messages with similar words... I was really surprised when see two different messages about the Moebious Theory in the Times.... my surprise was higher when i notice that the messages senders where a notorious player (also known as Hirgul....) and the anonymous accounter.... My surprise was higher when the anonymous accounter sent mails about the New Alliance... and about Stinchar and Sledmere.... zones where the Hirgul is... Has the rules following and cooperative playing paladin (as he told he was more or less when revealing his ex-allies plans for conquering a city) renegate from the rule following... Are two different players with similar ideas playing??? Is the fish a good food??? (I prefer meal...) well, think what you want... i will continue investigating by myself.... /*************************************************************************** //////// Al Pertierra Al Pertierra: | _ _ | C/ Feijoo N49-4-A u0904872@soneto.etsiig.uniovi.es 6| * * |9 Gijo'n (Asturias) (u0904872@156.35.141.8) | < | Spain C.P.33204 Soldados Drakull (Drakull Soldiers) | _ | Faction 237 |____| ---------------------------------------------------------- Date: Tue, 23 May 95 13:53:53 BST From: dean@memex.co.uk (Dean Burton) Subject: Atlantis Police Atlantean Police Department get in touch.
