My knowledge is from a few years back, but it was (in a non team game) 3 regions
and more than the Westmen, Urik, and someone else combined.

I had all spells through level 8, tossed all my Alamaze stuff a couple years
ago though.

Power 5 as I recall was, summon skeletons, teleport um, army I think.
Earthquake (1100 points/level).  Some other not so useful spells, less
than a page worth.

Level 6 was pretty damn good as I recall, destroy village kicked in,
domes of protection., summon ghouls.

Level 7, destroy town. summon wights.

Level 8, assasination (summon demon).

Some other nice spells in there somewhere, raise influence, divine villages,
divine towns, etc.

Level 7 was the big hurrah, 8 wasn't really worth much more than 7 for
the warlock.  Once you have destroy town and village things get easy.
Go take the city in the region (level 7 diplomacy with an army will
take just about anything in a tolerant/friendly region unless the city
is a capital).  Take your 6's and 7's (I had 2 of each) and blow away
everything you don't own, and *poof* control is yours by virtue of
all other pop centers being dead.

If the warlock gets to the point where he has 2+ level 7's and someone
else isn't getting damn close to winning it's time to concede.  You
simply can't hurt the warlock after that.  The wizards are free to maintain,
the armies are summoned and free to maintain.  Spells are free to cast.
I got attacked an entire team of 3 (my two team mates dropped), but they
just couldn't hurt me.  I had Avalon to a defense of 60,000 with my level 3
2 wizards casting raise defense (moved my capital there).

Assassin's are ineffective against such high level wizards especially
if you have even low level flunky agents on protection.

If you're playing the warlock, spend everything on wizards you can, disband
your worthless armies except as needed to diplomacy towns.  Spend only
enough to send your emissaries to key towns.  Take things in the water
as much as possible since those are easier to protect.

If you're fighting the warlock, toast him early.
