Thank you for the first good laugh since my ship was hit by RIP pirate scum. Some points to consider concerning WCE honor: 1. Sir Hairy Flashpan has joined the WCE. If you are sincere about avoiding spreading "base insults and lies", the WCE is going to have to go to the additional expense of buying him a muzzle. 2. WCE "honor" apparently includes aiding and abetting a bunch of psychopathic robots in their unjustified attack on a group of peaceful colonists from an affiliation that YOU ARE NOT ACTIVELY AT WAR with (or are you?) 3. The WCE has escalated their hostility to the QSN from the "blow up a stargate to preserve WCE's precious neutrality" phase, to a new "provide logistical support for unprovoked attacks on QSN holdings". Apparently WCE honor did not require any previous notification or offer to negotiate before commencing hostilities. 4. The ineptness of the RIP attack on my ship after a brillient strategic stakeout leads me to believe that Capt Scragg turned over control of the attacking forces to the WCE Werth Intelligence(?) Service just moments before the QSN Blue Whale arrived. While this last point has not been definitively proven, if true it means the WCE is actively engaged (?with honor?) in RIP activities. At the very least I strongly suspect some in your organization helped fund this dastardly attack. In any event, we shall learn more once the pirate's wreakage can be more closely examined. Sincerely, Nicholas Van Rijn MerchantPerson QSN Blue Whale ------------------------------ From: wayne.alexander@mercopus.com (Wayne Alexander) Date: Fri, 26 May 95 22:53:00 -0500 Subject: Pittsburgh I've read the string regarding the loss of IND/RIP Pittsburgh. Everyone seems amazed that it lasted as long as it did. I wonder why. The colony was well known to be a pirate sympathizer and major supply depot. The problem that existed was that there was never enough solid proof to sustain an Imperial posting. Rumors abounded, but hard facts were lacking. What was "known" and what could be proven were two completely different items. Finally, proof positive was obtained, a posting request was made on Wk 26/193 by the ICN PD and it was granted. From that point forward it was only a matter of time, careful planning and logistical scheduling. What may have pushed the matter to a head was the RIP sell-out to the FOE. It did nothing to endear the rest of humanity to the RIP. When I left as joint ISP/ICN PD the fight was continued most ably by Star Admiral von Ludendorf. The SMS weighed in with considerable assets and the outcome was a foregone conclusion. Minister Horn deserves a lot of credit. The Periphery has not seen that kind of long term dedication to causing trouble since the days of the O'Briens. Star Admiral Dax Krieger, ISP/ICN PD (Ret.) EEM Chairman Emeritus [OOC] I believe, as many believe, whether they will admit it or not, that if Neil had not been hamstrung by real world considerations (sea duty, etc.) that it would have taken even longer to finally remove this pirate thorn. - --- . Number 4376. It was the GP that captured AFT Ogygia, then, once in control of the colony, fired upon a GTT vessel in orbit, triggering a defense response from a GTT colony neighboring Ogygia. Damage was massive, but I have not heard if the captured colony was destroyed or not. The ship that dropped off the GP was a merchantman named Atlantis (4735). The Atlantis has been implicated in further terrorist actions against IMP chartered human AFF's. Zed Thunder Slouching in his chair.... Avoid the east side of Downtown after dark, but what we call "West End" (actually walking distance to the Convention Center) is one hell of a party place. While you're down here, save yourself some time & money, the JFK exhibits ain't worth it. (so that's the window...big deal!). depending on your tastes, there's different clubs, ranging from non-alcoholic (but totally nude ladies) in Arlington (be warned, if ya smoke, expect heavy discrimination, especially in Arlington), to my personal favorite, "Fantasy Ranch" (each room in the club, has dancers dressed to a different theme, from Roman to whatever).......... never said "I" was an Imperial <g> > E-mail me your number and I'll try and give you a call.
