Instead, they are sending out names adn addresses of the PDs. ------------------------------ From: "Cap'n Scragg" <scragg@infi.net> Date: Thu, 25 May 1995 16:23:17 +0000 Subject: Dallas TX Well what the heck Neil did it..... I know theres a bunch of BSE players in TX. Anyone want to meet with another RIPper next month I'll be in Dallas for 4 or 5 days. I'll assume the AIS got my broadcast and will allow them to contact me if they so desire. All, I will be out of town until Tuesday of next week. There is a chance I will be able to check my e-mail though. If you mean can you get them via ftp, that depends on if/when Kerry puts them on the server. If you mean can you ftp them to RTG, that's up to RTG. They are in WORD6 format so RTG would have to open them in WORD and print/use them. Off hand, I doubt that they will go that route. Depending on where you'll be staying (I prefer not to go into what we call "the War Zone", but on the maps is known as S. Oak Cliff.), I'ld be willing to meet you. Other Dallas players that I know of are another IMP player & a WCE player. Does this > reflect a new attitude on the part of the GMs? Brad, There's a difference between the way a RIP colony is hidden and the way an insect (SAM or KZK) colony is hidden. The bug colonies are underground, so they aren't supposed to show on sector scans. RIP colonys are merely camoflaged so they don't get scanned when a ship orbits or show up on the planet map.... but they DO show up on the sector map. Only problem is to find them. Once found, they're toast. RIP New Beginnings fell before fat-boy sold the game to RTG. The attacks on Slave Driver & Slave Pit 3 were frozen in time... having been started under Cohoes, and ended under RTG. The others were all under RTG. RIP colonys are merely Actually KZK colonies do show up on sector scans (& recon plane reports) - - they just can't be attacked from orbit. Kerry ------------------------------ From: RIPLord@aol.com Date: Fri, 26 May 1995 00:32:13 -0400 Subject: RIP War Galley Attack! RIP HQ released the following information. A planned RIP operation is in the works, and should see frution by the time you read this message. During week 20, orders were sent to two specially-constructed War Galleys, the "Highport Killer" and "Fizzie Sheller". Both ships are enroute SMS colonies. One is going to the SMS HQ colony, the other to SMS Pittsburgh (formerly RIP Pittsburgh). All SMS positions and those dealing with the SMS, be prepared to spend some extra TU's at SMS colonies due to the lack of a highport. Additionally, be wary of any Fissionables you may purchase from SMS Positions, as they may now be 'contaminated'. Both of these attacks were launched per the request of Lord Powell Horn, who is somewhere still on the moon Hoylex. RIP LORD ------------------------------ From: RFN2@aol.com Date: Fri, 26 May 1995 00:39:24 -0400 Subject: Poker Here's the current Poker Game info: Horst - Bringing CAT-gut wiskey, and at least half of the money he supposedly owes the AFT. Sun Tzu - will promise not to quote Confucious, or any other old Earth dietys, titans, prophets, etc. everytime the cards are delt. Don Guido - Promises to bring a few of his harem..er..friends, to distract Noa, of course; and to ask his body guards to leave behind any weapons that a normal search won't detect. Noa - promises to bring Don Guido's Yacht (just in case), and will leave at home any cyber implants/memory devices/and palm-top computers. I promise to supply Araldo for Guido's girls, and will not spill a drink on anyone. Stu - promises to leave Rlo at home (off-planet prefered). Lundendorf (are you coming?) - promises to bring an old Dreadnaught or two, and to leave all IMP rules, regulations, etc at the door. Zed Thunder - Promises not to sit bolt upright in his chair after the third hour of play. Hannibel Hayes - NO ROBOTIC SHEEP. The GTT are invited, and I'd respectfully ask them to bring a few of the half dozen plus Cargo Masters that they've recently acquired (HEY, maybe you can trade them for a colony!!!) As you know it's my week to host the game, and I'd like to remind you of the house rules at FET Clove: 1. No unattended children. 2. Suicide Jacks are wild <G>. And of course, the Famous Guido Clause: 3. Bluffing is acceptable, as long as there are no loaded weapons on the table in front of you. That's it folks, shall I see you all on the 28th of this month? What class ship? Much thanks, Rob ------------------------------ From: StephMarte@aol.com Date: Fri, 26 May 1995 01:20:02 -0400 Subject: BSE: IND Werth Von Ludendorf ISP PD Werth is still flying the IND flag. Seems Harry Flashman retired before the 30 wait period was over, so the colony never officially affiliated with the WCE. Even though the CPT reported Werth is now WCE, for the time being the colony will remain IND. I'll leave it up to your judicious nature to determine whether or not Werth's historic neutrality still exists. For now, Werth will continue to deal on the slave market. If the Empire wishes us to put the Periphery's most beautiful women out of work, please let me know. Before you make your final decision please talk to EEM Lt. Rlo Kreiger. I believe he will vouch for the value of our special complexes. Just so you know, orders were issued at WCE Marathon's Reach to destroy 6 special complexes and to release over 500 pleasure slaves. Several editorials in the local paper "Aesop's Fables" applauded the destruction of the red light district, although personally I think this entire issue smells like a Quman plot to subvert morale. Fortunately morale was not greatly affected. Of course, if you saw the girls at Mabels, you'd understand why.
