Galaxy question From: tulrich@unlinfo.unl.edu (Timothy Ulrich) Date: Tue, 06 Jun 1995 00:00:00 +0000 Hi there... You can tell that there has been at least one new game starting up in the last couple of weeks... what with all these questions. So, here's my newest question. If you have a ship at somebody's home world, and that person has no ships there, you will begin bombing the home world. I understand that the population is then reduced to 0. But... what about the industry? The rules don't say if the industry is all destroyed or if it stays there as stockpiled capital. Personally, I hope it stays there... that would be quite an incentive for going after people's home worlds. Also, the standard for GMs seems to be that if there are three turns for which orders are not received, a person will be taken out of the game. What is the standard way in which this is done? Are their worlds turned into uninhabited places with no industry, etc.? Do the ships just cease to exist? This is another thing that is not explicitly defined in the rules. I'm asking about this because in my game, it appears that I have three races on my borders that have not played yet (ie, we've had the third turn and their planets have not been named, they have colonized no planets, and their tech levels are all still at one). Before I send a fleet after these planets, I want to be sure they're not going to disappear next turn! Thanks! -- Timothy Ulrich tulrich@unlinfo.unl.edu Project Director NetStuff CD Referenced By Up
