Kolley Preis DM 4 (& Mitgliedschaft) 8 pages OC 7 Due date every second thuresday 1. Angetreten zum Rapport . At easy, gentleman. The red team won OC 5 Arnheim - Nimwegen 1944. All members of the winning red team get a medal, the team chief of the blue team for his extra Einsatz gets also a medal and is still the highest ranking officer in the member list. The chief of the red team Markus Finger provided the team with a professional imput, but all the other players seems also to some soort of pofessional officers in the game by judging there orders and actions. The blue team on the other hand has had mucho trouble with its high command, not to mentione the famous bridge "Loch" uprising. Concerning the medals there is to mentione that J.Zahn and M.Finger get the Eichenlaub for their Ritterkreuz according to their new positions in the now upcomming game. D.Andriese gets the DSC as an addidtion to his collection, including the Victoria cross. This Officers will get also their next higher medal: U.Kasperzak, M.Fleck and C.Boyda. Thank you. 2. Last reports over heavy fighting at Arnheim between KG Wiedenluebbert and 1.ABD, General Andriese. 3. INTERNET TALK Actually I was looking for a medieval/fantasy setting. Am I correct in assuming that yours is based on modern warfare? Monza Ram Hello Monza, Thats true. I once tried to run a historic game around 1100 ad but everybody wanted WW II. The farest I got back in history is 1866, the battle of Huehnerwasser. This game, starting in 2 weeks will be Wacht am Rhein Oct 1944-1945, and the next one in one or two years probably desert storm. Since I would loose my player when I would introduce spells or integrade orks in the German Volgsgrenadier Divisions I am afraid you must like my games or you must look indeed somewere else. Thomas >OC 7 : Wacht am Rhein , Westfront Oktober 1944 - Januar 1945 No the new game. OC 5 ends just a little bit early for the new game. The historical 1:200000 maps are available from the channel cost to Luxembourg. I am still waiting for the maps from the Militaerarchiv in Freiburg. At the present time i use a modern 1:350000 map between Luxemburg and Nancy except for the area south of Nancy Metz wich also is available as a 1:200000 historic map. Research on units are at some parts (german, US and british units. I need more information on USA NDU (non divisional units) the allied air force oob and the allied ships wich are involved in the walcheren landings (01.10. 1944) I need also some information on amount of V1 and V2 wich are fired at other targets than England. biggest problem the 1th french army. Still I do not have a complet order of battle of divisions and Corps and army NDU. A complet OOB of the allied airforce would be also very helpfull alltought I am making good progress on theis topic. Finally the allied side needs a few more player. >>>Setup: Diskette/INTERNET/MODEM: Setup DM 12 (-DM 5 Schutzgebuehr): DM 7 (including the whole front as *.bmp on extra disk) Brief/Fax: Setup: DM 15 (-DM 5 Schutzgebuehr old player): DM 10 (including the printed maps of the own Front part) With your first move you must choose: 1. I am satisfied with the *.bmp or printed maps and want no more. DM 0 >>>>>>>>>>Special offer internet player: You may try out a non ground combat role for nothing. After 2 moves you must decide weather you continu as a paying member or to stop. This roles are Admiral Navy, Chief Luftwaffe (need to know german) US Airforce place or War correspondent. The UK airforce is already given to a Player. You must deliver an order every move. You may ask questiones any time. All "normal" player are allowed to scip a move as long you have a minimum account of DM 20 because of privat reasons, timeproblems, etc. You must inform me about this beforehand. Your units will not be handicaped in defens if your front is not quiet, but you alwys need to be responsive to other players with orders and reports. PATTON General George S. Patton, was a brilliant, but controversial EUROPEAN MILITARY leader. Although he was commander of the first American tank unit during World War One, he was not one of great theorists of armored warfare, like Liddel Hart, DeGaulle, or Guderian. He was, rather, an aggressive, energetic commander, who found these new armored forces ideal for vigorous offensive war he wanted to fight. This quote reveals much about his style of warfare -- "A good plan, executed immediately and vigorously, is always better than a perfect plan, executed too late." His grasp of the history and theory of war was extensive, and he was probably the best battlefield commander on the Allied side; certainly the Germans considered him to be. However, the snap decisions and theatrical style that made him dangerous to the enemy and inspiring to his men, brought him disaster in the political arena. He became notorious for actions and statements, in language often unprintable, which offended civilian sensibilities, outraged Allies and embarrassed his superiors. He bluntly stated his views on politicians, other commanders, military shortcomings, and the coming confrontation between America and the Soviet Union. His feuding with Montgomery, while brought on as much by Montgomery's arrogance as by his own, certainly harmed the Allied cause, as did his open hostility to the Soviets, even if he was right on both counts.
