Death of our founder - An announcement Posted by The Programmer on 25th Dec 2008 at 9:33 pm GMT It is my sad duty to inform you all of the death of Tom Tweedy. Tom died this afternoon (Dec 25th) at home with his family present. His death is a sad loss for the hobby in general and for the Dip2000 community in particular. Details of his funeral will be available later, anyone who wishes to have details please send an email to (see message board) and I'll send details as soon as I have them. Anyone who wishes to send a message to his family should email the message to (see message board) these will be printed and pass on. His widow has expressed a desire for anyone who wishes to attend his funeral, I will give her the numbers who contact me so she has some idea how many will be there. Finally, please feel free to pass on this news to anyone in the hobby who may have known him. Over the years Tom has been a big part of the hobby and has crossed paths with many people. The Dip2000 site will continue to function as normal, after his illness some years ago Tom and I took steps to ensure that the site could function without him and in the past months since his illness last year we've modified the site again to ensure it would continue after his death. It will carry on as was his wish as his lasting memorial. The programmer. Pete S GM on the dip2000 site. -- Pete Smith - I realised I was dyslexic when I went to a toga party dressed as a goat. Up
