It used to be 90, now it is 60, plus 30 restricted items. Currently Gaspree has over 83 items in it's market report. I've worked hard (and paid for the extra colony orders) to keep this market up-to-date, and with ALL the common items. The limit of 60 will make it such that I can't offer all common items anymore. Some questions: * How will markets convert over? Will just some items get randomly dropped off? How long do we have to convert the markets over to 60/30? * Do we have to pay in colony orders to remove items or move them to restricted? I'd suggest that if require this that you give us some credit in colony orders (say 2 orders per items in excess of 60 on a market report) as we have already paid to have those items on our markets. * Can an item be on both the regular market and the restricted market? * Will the items on a restricted market be displayed to all, or only to those who can deal on that market? Some misc. notes: * It would be helpful now that there is a limit on market items if the market report would list the number of items currently on the market at the top. * The Priority Market (PM) order is missing from the colony rules appendix in the back of the new manual. * There really should be some way to change PM items easier. I'd suggest PM item1# item2# rather than the current way of having to clear the item off the market first. It is possible that you'd have to issue as many as 7 orders to change a PM, first issue MB 0,0 and MS 0,0 orders for both items to remove them from the market and clear the PM, issue the PM order for the new items, then re-issue the MB and MS at the old prices. * I suggest that you allow 4 items to be listed on the priority market, rather than two. Two items really can't reflect a colony very well, but with a look at 4 of the hottest items in a colony I can much better judge if I can afford to go there. * Going over my markets in detail I noted some typo's that I'd never noticed before, in particular items where the quantity was valid (say 232) but the price was 0! Your software should probably check for that eventuality and warn the person doing the data entry. Some other validity checks may be worth looking into -- typo's seem too easy. I know that I should have compared my orders to the printouts sooner, but some validity checking may help prevent problems in the future. - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ .. Ooops, that is a typo that I forgot to correct from an old mis-read of the new rules. I originally read it as "total" which which at over 6,000,000 MUs in manufactured goods it well qualified as a class 12. However, I reading more carefully that it says "each total". Thus the new rules the number of life forms must also be over 6,000,000 MUs as well. This means that Gaspree is only a class 10 with only 2,000,000 life forms (class 11 requires 3,000,000 life forms.) Imperials can only place Imperial Posted ships and affiliations on their enemy list. Imperial possessions will not be permitted to initiate combat unless the target has been officially posted by the ICN Periphery Director or the ISP Periphery Director." So as far as I can tell, if IMP Samms begins targeting all IND ships, this is effectively saying that all IND ships are Imperially posted. Since I have a number of IND ships, I'd certainly like to know if that has happened. If the Imperials are *not* posting all IND ships, then it appears that the Governor of Samms is deciding he can pick and choose which laws apply to him, and he is choosing to disregard Imperial Law #24.
