That was in reaction to the FOE invasion of Jovian. The account was repaid by myself a few months latter. It wasn't refused. So, for accuracy purposes, you should fix the thing about the QSN/WCE war (delete it) and add a part about the 3rd FOE invasion, and note that the GTT did in fact support the IMP. > But the history needs re-working anyway ;-) I just wish you had said > something about it in January when I first released the revised profile to > the list, or one of the times that I sent it to new players also via the > list. The missing messages just disappeared in the internet void.... no bouncebacks, no nothing. It wasn't long after that I discovered what was happening and switched to my "delphi.com" address. His powers made 40 out of the 90 ships not appear for the SoulCage battle, and also gave you two weeks of "temporal shift" to shift defensive forces via teleporter-based RTSs. Not even to mention the Catrark's greivances about some their early battles with what led to the WCE... As for attempting to take out PortRude, well - Why do you think it is there? It is taking longer for you to act on this than the FGZ... (Not to mention how you have threatened SMS Porkamo Base both verbally & physically for a DECADE but done NOTHING.) I'm surprised you have never just proto-sphered the whole planet and been done with it. Q: How can you tell the puppet "T3" is composed of elder races? A: All they do is sit and gab. Har, har... Walt, it is best to just let that die. The climatic battle for control of Lemke and the GM's totally f****d it up. Through their incompetence they were left with the alternatives of either the WCE-to-be would quit, or the Catrark would quit. And don't worry, they made up for it later. - --Russ ------------------------------ From: PKRAUSKOPF@FALCON.AL.WPAFB.AF.MIL Date: Fri, 16 Jun 1995 13:06:39 -0400 Subject: BSE: WCE & PortRude -Reply >> His powers made 40 out of the 90 ships not >> appear for the SoulCage battle... Now hold on a minute! In the initial attack on Soul Cage, you guys intended 40 ships, total. However, one of your players had a personal problem, and didn't get his ship turns in on time. None of the ships were sequenced, so the battle went off with only 30. Tom raised hell with MP, and he magicked several additional ships to Soul Cage. The second time you guys attacked with 40 ships, and proceeded to pound a firebase colony into oblivion, rather than directing your fire to Soul Cage. >> gave you two weeks of "temporal shift" to shift >> defensive forces via teleporter-based >> RTSs. Nope. The second battle went off the following week. The QSN claim was that the second battle was a re-do of the first, and that therefore I shouldn't have had an opportunity to react. However, I was never told it was a re-do and, in fact, never recovered any of the items that were destroyed in the first attack (as one would expect if this was a re-do). In addition, MP told me (and Barry P. confirmed this) that the QSN were informed that I would have a chance to respond prior to your second attack. Finally, the termination of the DoW was originally scheduled for week 2 of that year. However, to appease the QSN, MP extended the date to week 10. I can't really see that you guys got screwed on that deal. BOTTOM LINE: Because of the timing of the situation, you guys would've had to knock out the space ring (since this is the tactic you were using), knock down the ground ring significantly, and then capture the colony in a mere two weeks, if everything had gone without any screw-ups. To my knowledge, no major colony has ever fallen this quickly. Phil K. ------------------------------ From: SBach11@aol.com Date: Fri, 16 Jun 1995 17:14:58 -0400 Subject: Re: BSE:Colony Turns Perhaps I'm coming into this in the middle..... I understand Richards L.'s message to mean there is some discussion about lenghtening colony printout frequency. If so....has anyone considered what this will do to long run game balance? If we make it REAL easy to run multiple colony positions we will be one step closer to the old BSE. To much power in ONE persons hands is what strays this from a competitive "fun" game. The solution is new blood...and new blood IS necessary. If one man can run 3 colonies for the price of 1. Then new blood becomes "UN-necessary". If you have more colonies than your willing to pay for, then you should be recruiting or selling them off too others. I have seen the GTT doing both, apparently, lately. It really is the solution. We shouldn't make it easier for players too hold multiple colonies easily when they control so much of the game. Ofcourse this ruling is involving REAL $'s. Not many have the sense of responsibility to take the situation for its game significance vs. its REAL money effect. <sigh> Old BSE.
