AG: Magical phenomena From: "T. Woods" <twoods@blue.weeg.uiowa.edu> Date: Mon, 03 Jul 1995 00:00:00 +0000 I (now) know that magical phenomena can not work if you have (very) high stats. What I don't know is if site/difficulty level affect this. If it doesn't shouldn't it? Seems to me that a magical phenomena at level 20 Isurus is shouldn't have a max as high as a level 20 to Azcors. This would mean that high power level characters,if they want magical phenomena that actually help them, should naturall gravitate to the harder sites as power level goes up. For example, say the minimum that magical phenomena will increase a stat is to 20. So even if you go level 1 Isurus you could keep gaining stats until 20 in the respective stat, but no more. A level 20 Isurus (or maybe 15-20) would yield MP that work up to 25. A level 20 At DeadHills, Canaar, might yield MP that work until 30, level 20 at places like the Manor and UnderCity might work to 35, and level 20 at Azcor could go to 40. That way as characters stats and power level go up they will need to go to the more difficult sites/level to benefit from magical phenomena. If characters eventually run into a problem with having several stats over 40 (probably not for AWHILE) then Hugh could introduce an even more difficult site. I think high power level characters are already moving to the more difficult sites/higher power levels, but this would be a way to encourage that movement and reward it, and yet also keep the players of the high power level characters happy by rewarding their efforts yet not giving anything away for free (Don't say I don't give you guys anything!)
