ATLANTISv2 atl-players-digest #98 From: csd@microplex.com (Christian Daudt) Date: Fri, 07 Jul 1995 00:00:00 +0000 This is kept by me (csd@microplex.com) If there are any problems, please tell me 'cause I normally don't have enough time to read them. If a faction has two units with Fireflash Wands ( Or mages spells) and cast them in the same combat, does the defender get a -4 ( -2 for each one) in his round of attacks. If it is -4, is there a limit to this stacking. It seems from the rules that it is possible to stack in the positive direction, ie +2 for sword, +'s for riding skill, + for enchantments, etc. How about the negative direction? 2. If a mage is wearing Gloves of Strength and gets the bonuses in combat of +2 Skill, 5 attacks per round, and is also using COMBAT spell Bear Strength, what is the result if he is attacked? 3. Can an enchanted wagon that doesnt need a horse and moves at riding speed be used to carry units of men, provided that they dont exceed the 50 weight limit( 4 men with possesions)? Thanks. Mark E. Could everyone please start doing this. It is becoming very difficult to wade through all my mail especially after a long weekend like this last one. When I came to work I found 111 messages in my mailbox. I really don't want to have to unsubscribe to the list, but I may have to just because I'm getting so much mail from it. It would make it much easier if everybody put the word 'Atlantis' in the subject line. Thanks in advance. Perhaps he'll move to Cremona? of perhaps Navemby? Although these places seem quite dangerous, apparently our hero has no plans to stay forever in AC. Anyway, mr. von Salza is now a peacefull fellow, so he wishes to salute all the denizens of this world and express his wishes for a peaceful and fruitful future. It seems from the rules that it is possible to stack in the >positive direction, ie +2 for sword, +'s for riding skill, + for >enchantments, etc. How about the negative direction? With regard to Fireflash, multiple castings just affect additional men; the combat penalty does not stack. This is different from the kind of positive stacking you describe, in which various bonuses come from different sources. I suspect that combat penalties would be cumulative if they came from different spells, but you will have to consult Geoff for an authoritative answer on that. >2. Yes, as far as I know. If there are, contact me, and we will work something out. I'm also planning on buying more people, does anybody know what supply/demand ratio is (both for leaders and tribesmen) in Cremona ? I am relatively new to the game and note for the first time the skill "Fishing". Presumably this skill allows you to produce fish in ocean hexes. What about the fish itself? Does it allow you to avoid maintenance costs? Is it a 1 for 1 kind of a deal? I.E., do you consume 1 fish per person for maintenance? Who has this skill and can send me some info? Not that I have a ship, the minimum required 50 wood, the 6000 silver to buy the wood or the shipbuilders necessary to build a ship. Thanks. I know this is difficult. I have only succeded once in getting three HEL. What I want to know is where does All this cash go that I do not use in getting HEL or leaders. I have claimed some of my starting cash to buy these units but is all gone. I can only assume some one has stollen it. I have tried this tun to just buy the unit's assuming if it worked I would just get the cash but all of the orders to buy failed due to insufficient cash. Am I wasting my time here and if so, is the only way to get ahead is by joining a group of already existing players? Something does not seem right about this.
