Could an establised faction be defeated by an Alliance of newbies say 10 to 20? Also if he is so powerful then why does he need to warn us, in order to keep us out? Is he afraid of an alliance of Newbies stopping him? Points to make :- Horses may be used to exit Navenby during winter. Factions can ally with the guards. A hundred guards plus 10 to 20 factions should be able to defeat 200 of faction's 44 men he claims he will have. If faction 44 is not a pure War faction he may not have the men to capture the City. We newbies have to go somewhere space seems to be running out, we may have to be prepared to fight with older factions for a place in Atlantis, if not now we soon will! He is making a lot of noise to scare us off, so he can have the City for himself alone. There are plenty of Land Hungry Factions in Atlantis to take it away from him. ---------------------------------------------------------- Date: Wed, 5 Jul 1995 13:00:23 -0400 From: Timothy Ireland <tireland@mc1adm.uwaterloo.ca> Subject: Re: Do go to Navenby!! The rules state that "certain structures contain interior passages to other regions. The MOVE IN order can be used to go through these passages; the movement point cost is equal to the normal cost to enter the destination region." I infer from this that the passage is a shortcut to some othe region-- you move in and pop out on another hex. However the description of a shaft I got on the turn report states, "+ shaft [1] : shaft, contains an inner location" -- This leads me to believe that there is a region below the hex I'm in, perhaps with peasants(underdwarves and darkmen?) and products and taxable income. Has anyone had any experience with this and can clear things up? What's in a shaft? thanks John(faction 820) gft_jon@gsbvxb.uchicago.edu ---------------------------------------------------------- Date: Wed, 5 Jul 1995 12:47:40 -0700 (PDT) From: Brian Greer <tekneek@crl.com> Subject: Re: Atlantis Q: avoiding, behind Subject: Re: Atlantis Q: avoiding, behind From: Brian Greer <tekneek@crl.com> Subject: Re: Atlantis Q: avoiding, behind Subject: Re: Atlantis Q: avoiding, behind Subject: Re: Atlantis Q: avoiding, behind On Wed, 5 Jul 1995, Kevin Lincoln Kendig wrote: > Yes, please send me a copy of your edited rules.
