July 95.2 Pandemonium Times From: dvistas@aol.com (D Vistas) Date: Mon, 10 Jul 1995 00:00:00 +0000 ========================================================================== ==== - Volume 1 - "THE GLADIATOR'S NEWS" - July 95.2 - <<<<<<<<<< P A N D E M O N I U M T I M E S >>>>>>>>>> Edited by Oganza Busasa, in association with The Galactic Inquirer Press All sports questions, articles and dares should be sent to dvistas@aol.com ========================================================================== ==== >>> T h e D w i n d l i n g C o m b a t a n t L i s t Well, here we are in our 2nd week of play, and (as expected) a number of fighters seem to be avoiding the arena. Funny thing, when fighters were in the ring before the official opening of Pandemonium Circus, they were also often late with turn orders or missed turns altogether. I don't think they left because play-testing is over. No. It seems to me that they probably either didn't have the time, or decided that it wasn't their cup of tea. Probably the latter, since this isn't what you'd call a "time consuming" sport! That means that the rest of us who remain in the ring must fight ever more diligently to get others to jump in and do combat. Now please, don't think of this as a shameless ploy to get you, the masters of the ring, to get others to join your profession. Nay I say. It is a shameful attempt. The more aliens who populate the circus, the merrier! By the way, I hope you like the handy way I've organized contest fight results by rank. Next week, I'll be including each fighter's record of wins, losses and draws too. Please, submit stuff so I can beef up the sportspage. Send in stories, questions, insults to other fighters... whatever! In other news, wealthy and notorious interstellar merchant (smuggler) Dan Reynolds is the first official stable master in Pandemonium's short history. A brief ceremony was held in his honor and many Macovian dignitaries were on hand to thank him for his outstanding financial support of the planet's new sports complex. As a sign of appreciation, he was given a permanent box seat in the stands close to the Announcer's booth. In case you don't already know, a stable master is any manager who maintains multiple ring warriors in the arena. Congratulations Mr. Reynolds! - OB >>> W e e k l y R a n k P r o m o t i o n s Rank 1: No promotions this week.
