Wargamer Program for PBM/PBEM From: billcas@indirect.com (Bill Castello) Date: Thu, 13 Jul 1995 00:00:00 +0000 Hello, I have developed a program that is of use for PBM board gamers, but can be adapted to any situation requiring the use of randomly generated numbers, with complete verifiability <sp> The program uses a seed number, provided by the player (can be anything) and it will then generate, on command, a wide variety of rolls. These rolls are stored on disk and text files, for giving to the other player for validation. The seed number can be re-used by the other player to verify any 'strange' results at will. Other information is stored also, such as Hex #, a note and the exact type of roll. The program is currently runs under DOS, but a Win95 version is due soon (I won't be late, Win95 will!) The program is written to be compatable with the merest hardware, 8088 and EGA graphics will work. The program is shareware, and I am wondering if there is any interest out there for such a program. ($20 for one copy, $25 for two copies, such a deal) If you would like a copy, or more info, I can be reached at billcas@indirect.com (But then, you knew that from the header??) Thanks, Bill Castello Now, where did I put that Signature file?? Up
