Please contact me, I am very interested. I think what he ment is a test file with a list of Faction numbers and the email of the person to contact. It should be on the ftp site, and I may make a copy so you can get it through the mail list itself > Also, What is happening to the All players list. What is the new adress? Its moved! (Suprise!!) The Good God Geoff (GGG) changed rahul address to point to my list and it has been in use this way for just about a week now. :_) This does delay the posting of the mail, but it gets there. The list itself is atl-players@ee.pdx.edu. I received both my report and my Times sometime Sunday afternoon. I do have the advantage of a low faction number, but anyone who still does not have a report should ask Geoff for a new one. As for the Times, it is probably better to ftp it from the ftp site, or get it from rec.games.pbm, though I am sure that Geoff would mail that, too, if you asked him. McGaw" <u3djm@csc.liv.ac.uk> Subject: Re: Point Systems Date: Wed, 26 Jul 1995 16:56:03 +0100 (BST) OK Mike, Point taken. I think I was just trying to maintain the balance between single character roleplay (something I actually do a lot of) and trying to place yourself in the head of several units to role play a lot more characters. I apologise if I have given offence by slamming the fellow roleplayers with unthought-out comments, but this was the point I was trying to make, even if I went all around the houses to do it. Role play is fine with me. I encourage it, and I believe Geoff does too (as well as the countless million players out there). I just thought it was a tall order trying to put yourself into 40 or 50 places and look through 80 or 100 eyes. As to your suggestion that Master-Leaders could be brought into the game, mailme more info on your ideas and let me see if I can get a better grip on what you are saying. I thought for simplisitiy's sake, a faction points system wouldbe easier to maintain/manage without the rigmarole of trying to keep tabs on Powermongering leaders as well. I do recall someone mentioning losing a Power leader and getting the points used on him back, this I don't agree with. If a player, (man unit, leader or Powerleader) bites the bullet, they are dead permanently in my book. Your Power-guy dies - tough! Mail me more on your ideas and let me sift through them. I may come up with something. Regards as ever Dave > Yes, Mr. McGaw, you are reading me wrong.
