I am not advocating that any player plays two factions, this is of course either against the rules or just plain unfair. However, many of you have friends who wish to play the game but missed the cut off point. So to prevent a perfectly good faction going to waste by destroying it I decided to find a worthy person to take on my faction AS A STAND ALONE FACTION. Sorry to cause confusion. By the way, I have found a person to play the faction, but in order to prevent any breaking of the rules I need to check to see if they are already playing a faction. The best way I can think of to acheive this is to get Geoff to run an email address check for me. For obvious reasons I do not want to run the guy's address through the atl-players list so I could do with a private address for Geoff. Anybody know one?? If you don't want to give it to me can you get Geoff to contact me at this address. I have heard news that factions are interested in these swamps. Well, I can say with faith in G*D that this would be folly. The power of huge armies blocks further expansion to the east, west and north, and the ocean blocks the south. The swamps are poor, and the costs of dealing with the resistance that would assuredly occur would far outweigh the benefits of owning these lands. If you are travelling in the swamps or desert of Dezhou, contact me for information. I ask that you declare your business on behalf of the Great Kashmar Alliance. At the moment, the only way to find out who owns a particular unit is to ask everyone (normally via the mailing list) if it's theirs or not. It isn't a particularly good way - they might not read the mailing list, and all of us who don't own the unit have to read the message too. As I see it, if I'm in a hex and I can see a unit there, I ought to be able to send a message to it. So, here's my suggestion. How about a mail forwarding service, to which we can all send mail addressed by unit number, and have it sent on to the owning player. It wouldn't tell us who owned the unit, it would just make sure the message got to them. How about it? -- Cookie Up
