AG: Chewi SPEAKS (and speaks, and speaks...) From: Chewi <whitman@coopext.cahe.wsu.edu> Date: Sun, 06 Aug 1995 00:00:00 +0000 For those of you in Adventurers' Guild or elsewhere who are curious about who or what I am: I'm an AG character, leader of an adventuring group there, and one of the people in the game who believes in sharing info with newbie and pro alike! I'm also a human female and NOT an eight foot tall Wookie; we don't have any of those in the game (for those whose hormones are now kicking into overdrive at the thought of my ripe femininity, forget it. I'm just an RPC; my writer's male). OK, on to the important stuff! Weapon Resistance: Based on my matches with the Little Girl in the Haunted Manor, one of the beasties in the game who ALWAYS has W.R., I say that it takes a high skill (or luck) to overcome the W.R.; that unless the blow actually gets through the protection it doesn't count on your stats at the end of the match; that it doesn't matter how many times you get through the W.R., it's ALWAYS there (at least for her); and that this particular ability is blankety blank frustrating to have to deal with, as you can wear yourself out beating on a beastie without being able to score a hit while the beastie has no problem beating on you. Also, apparently in order to keep the game "interesting" (as if it needed it), the great god Hugh (genuflect, genuflect) has set it up so that monsters who normally don't have W.R. (like rock spiders) will get it, occasionally, making what should be an easy fight VERY difficult. (And before anyone unfamilar with the Little Girl accuses me of child abuse for hitting her, let me point out she appears to be a ghost, and in fights is trying VERY hard to make you one, too) Mushroom Circle: My sister Fernanda(a mino) visited there last turn, and got the following: "With her spine tingling, Fernanda steps into the circle and is nearly deafened by a caucaphony of little chittering voices singing a thousand different songs. All the voices seem to come together in a wail, and Fernanda falls unconscious. Sometime later she regains consciousness, covered in a cold sweat. Fernanda feels very different. Fernanda has gained a damage point bonus, AND has been given a Minotaur Pendant and a ticklish kiss from a small, invisible being!" So, the question is, is this common for minotaurs visiting the Mushroom Circle? Yerikan, the NPC sage, DID say all minos were related to Faeries, as the original minos were the result of a mad magician melding together Faeries and cows. Maybe the Faeries were welcoming a long lost sister! Feel free to responde or ask questions! Chewi Referenced By Up
