ATLANTISv2 atl-players-digest #128 From: csd@microplex.com (Christian Daudt) Date: Tue, 05 Sep 1995 00:00:00 +0000 Errors to csd@microplex.com Now there should be a digest whenever (a) there are 10 emails or (b) whenever there is an email waiting for more than 48 hours for a digest to be completed. So don't get worried if the digest has only 1 or 2 emails, that just means the list has been slow. (I hope it works) If you want previous versions, they are available via WWW at http://www.microplex.com/~csd/atlantisv2/ ---------------------------------------------------------- Date: Sat, 02 Sep 1995 12:55:59 -0500 (CDT) From: ThorC@UH.EDU (Thor Christensen) Subject: Atlantis The New Riders of the Purple Sage is proud to announce the birth of it's first daughter and future chieftain of our clan, faction 802. Thought it would be summit like that, just thought I could play on the syntax of the rules a little to wangle extra moves. Bit strange though. If a mage could fly OVER the terrain type, he wouldn't beaffected by it, would he??? > It is not possible to fly over water, which you might already know. > This is a pity, because what could be more awesome than have your > best combat-mage fly out and sink your enemy's galleons filled with > blood-thirsty orcs? ;-) This is unfortunately a great idea and non-feasible at the same time. I figure that you have to account for WHERE the mage will END UP on the conclusion ofhis movement turn. If it is water .... glug glug glug! This may be why the terrain types are in effect for flying units also. Thanks for the clear up there, Charlie. Regards as ever Dave Up
