I'm keeping this short, because I'm tired of contributing to this thread
(and I have a feeling many others are tired of reading it).

So alliances created by veteran players before a game begins have no
advantage?  I've been in these alliances myself, and we're invariably
successful over disorganized opposition, especially newcomers, and
usually successful over organized opposition.  How about I ask Mike
Childress, to give one example, if he wants to rebut your opinion?  Mike
played Canada in the game, and as a result of what he feels was a
righteous stomp by a pre-game alliance, he'll never play again.

Flagship was wrong to print my review?  I give readers more credit than
you do.  I've said time and time again that no one should take my word on
something.  I have a particular style of writing, and I don't plan to
change it.  My column is the highest rated piece in Flagship (according
to the readers).  I don't plan to change just because I've panned
someone's favorite game and gotten his dander up.

As you know, I'm playing another game of WWIV with Greg Benage (and,
perhaps, with you).  If I find that I've misjudged the game, I'll say so.
 I won't say so just because you and a few others want me to.
