[PBEM News] USS CALEDONIA & STARBASE BOB...the worst of the worst!

USS Caledonia and Starbase BoB...

Situated at the mouth of the dangerous passage between the Typhon
Expanse and Sayl'reth Space, on the edge of uncharted territory, this
is the place for the Officers that Starfleet wants to forget!

Some ships are well known for their service records of excellence -
the USS Enterprise, the USS Sovereign, the USS Excelsior. The
Caledonia, chronically understaffed and falling apart, is not even
close to one of those ships in quality or crew.

Some starbases are known for their commerce, their vibrance and their
resources - Starbase Raven, Starbase Olympus, Deep Space Nine.
Whereas Starbase BoB, never even renamed from its developmental
designation, is most certainly NOT one of those starbases. No way.
Nothing like. Nowhere near.

If you're a high-flying officer who's made a bad mistake, or a
no-hoper that can't seem to fit in the world of 'proper' Starfleet
ships and stations, then this is the place where you'll be sent.

Despite the levity of the description, this is a sim that lives and
breathes and resonates with the life and colour of the superbly
created characters. The pace is fast and the missions original and
intelligent, with plenty of action, intrigue and danger to complement
the excellent character development.

There is tragedy and lunacy, hilarity and heartbreak, pathos and
pratfalls, as the often irreverent, always engaging characters come
to terms with their life, and learn to survive in a world that
doesn't really care whether they live or die. And sometimes they
discover that friendship, a sense of belonging - even triumph - can
be found where you least expect it.

So if you have a character you love and a story to tell, and can face
danger armed only with the most basic of equipment (and be ingenious
enough to invent ways of making it work) then check out our website
