ATLANTISv2 atl-players-digest #135 From: csd@microplex.com (Christian Daudt) Date: Thu, 14 Sep 1995 00:00:00 +0000 Errors to csd@microplex.com Now there should be a digest whenever (a) there are 10 emails or (b) whenever there is an email waiting for more than 48 hours for a digest to be completed. So don't get worried if the digest has only 1 or 2 emails, that just means the list has been slow. (I hope it works) If you want previous versions, they are available via WWW at http://www.microplex.com/~csd/atlantisv2/ ---------------------------------------------------------- Date: Wed, 13 Sep 1995 09:16:28 -0700 (PDT) From: Neil M Matsui <nmatsui@itsa.ucsf.EDU> Subject: Re: Atl2 - cumulative magic On Wed, 13 Sep 1995, Dave Macca McGaw wrote: > ALL combat bonuses are accumulative NO MATTER WHAT you use (but take heed > thatyou can only use one of a given type, ie one set of gloves, one magic sword, > etc) > > Regards > > Dave > What about # of attack bonuses? How come you can't transfer Mages? How come nobody told me? How come this isn't in the rules??? I've just wasted TWO months of study time! (Mind you, the first one was an ally's fault not the form orders) I tried to reorder the unit numbers of my mages, by giving each of five NEW units one mage apiece. It screwed up. That's now a loss of two months study! Why won't this work. Check it out : STORM-LORD (345): GIVE: Magicians can't transfer men. PYRO (4608): GIVE: Magicians can't transfer men. MOUNTAIN (4615): GIVE: Magicians can't transfer men. WIND (4633): GIVE: Magicians can't transfer men. OCEAN (4636): GIVE: Magicians can't transfer men. Why the hell not? Serves me right for tring to cast "summon treemen" and fireball some Orcs at the same time! Anyway, they don't appear to be friendly - has anyone else found any who can tell me what they do, what their stats are, etc? Can you assassinate NPC creatures? I know it doesn't work on guards and the like, but was just wondering. By the Way, could some people please leave Atlantis City? There are only 900 ish native people left there, when there should be 5000. That means there are about 4000 men working in the city! That's what? $20,000 profit a turn? No wonder there areso many thieves about! Lord Viper and Lady Venom. House Banshee (217) of the DOMINION. I am thinking that this turn noone should build any wagons so that next turn the market will bounce back somewhat. I am open to ideas from anyone as to how to prevent the total collapse of wagon producers. The following factions in Jaca are known wagon sellers and should please contact me at gft_jon@gsbvxb.uchicago.edu Argonauts (464) Zorbas the Greek & Associates (806) House of Marta (749) Sauron (878) Skippy's Rangers (914) Order of the Ebon Hand (931) Order of the Wandering Monk (762) Order of the Crescent Hawk (940) Order of the Crimson Skull (928) Order of the Great Llama (956) John faction (820) ---------------------------------------------------------- Date: Wed, 13 Sep 1995 14:28:42 -0500 (CDT) From: GFT_JON@gsbvxb.uchicago.edu Subject: Mining Training needed in Jaca I really need some Mining 2-3 training in Jaca and will pay 30 silver a turn to get it. Dave (of mailing list flame fame) successfully formed 5 units, which I paid money to, only to find that you cant GIVE mages! At least that proved that the form orders worked, however. If you have submitted Times articles, then the $50 payment shows up as a "reward." You also often get a reward if you report a bug to Geoff, especially if you have been bitten by it. If that doesn't explain your mysterious reward, then it's probably a bug. A nice one, though.
