I need people to create characters with a somewhat detailed outline of their background. ie.past exp, why chose his class, and why his particular weapons were picked and so on and so on. The setting will be in the Forgotten Realms FR9 "Bloodstone Lands". You can read the Accesory if you like. Incorporate the cities and settings into your background. Starting Players will be 1st lvl(no exceptions), using the Skills and Powers book.(Please no MUNCHKINS, I will screen characters, and inform you if its to powerful). All PCs will have MAX HP/HD + Con bonuses. Here are some of the Rules! 1) Priests- all priests who take the option of wizards spells must tell me the deity you worship (from the Forgotten Realms Pantheon only). 2) Monks- none. 3) Races- All standard. ie no Drow's. Duerger, minotaurs, etc.. unless a complete background is submitted complete with history! Maybe ill consider. 4) Attributes- Are determined by distributing 84 point between the attributes. cost will be 1 to 1 pts from 3 to 15 1 to 1.75 pts from 16 to 18 Charisma costs only .75 pts per Attribute pt. exceptional ratings will be determined by me. all subabilities cannot be higher than racial MAX 5) Character Classes- ALL 6) Alignment- NO EVIL (exceptions will be made for NE if a background is submitted) 7) Money- For now just the standard gp,sp,ep,cp and pp money for all characters will be 1.5x normal max 8)Characters will have some mundane items with them and tell me the signifance of the item 9)KITS- all kits from the S&P only since I dont have the others. i will tell you if its allowed 10)Social Standing will be determined by the book but I will have final say. If you have a complete background then maybe 11) Proficiencies- ALL - Int Bonus only aplies to int proficiencies. Fighters can use bonus to WPs 12) Experience levels- are gained when you have enough xp. exceptions are for gaining new proficiences and levels of mastery 13) Combat- will not be DIE extensive. 14) Treasure- Magical will be on the low avg. reg treasure will be sorta normal. 15) The planes- Prime material for now 16) Encumberance- will be in effect 17) Spells- Wizards get 6 spells 2 will be read, and detect megic all others will be picked by you Bards get 4 spells one being read magic 18) Time- the period will be post avatar (2-3 years) but might change. will see. any information about what year FR9 was written and the AVATAR series was will be greatly greatly appreciated. -----------Advice and more rules------------- 1) Please dont discuss stats with other players. if somone asks you what your scores are please tell them something other than a number. ie.. my character is so strong he can thumb wrestle an ogre! my character is so smart he makes Forrest Gump look like Forrest Gump! 2) Please speak as your character would. But dont force a personality let it come naturally! 3) I plan to run encounters mid through or until something crucial is about to happen. or give your opinions. if this is a bad or good idea. more than likely ill prompt for your actions throughout 4) tell me if you are a beginer or intermediate ar an advanced player. Be it PBEM or reg. 5) Notes on Disadvanteges- You can only take a maximum of 30 CPs from both restrictions and disadvantages combined 6) if you use th S&P book please tell me the pts use of each ability gained ---heres a sample---- ----Description---------PtsTotal-------Initial+Added Race- Human 15 15 bonuses- tough hide 5 Class- Fighter 20 5+15 bonuses- Defense 10 increased move 5 multi spec -5 Restrictions- -5 Limited armor-none 10 Limited weapons-melee 15 Kits-Weapons Master (all recommended NWP and Traits are -1 cp to cost) NWP- 21 15+6 Blindfighting 18 Endurance 17 Hunting 15 Swimming 13 Survival-Artic 10 Orienteering 7 Traits- Ambidexterity 4 Inher Immuni-Cold 0 Disadvatages- (Please describe why in your background) Powerful enemy 10 WP- 18 10+8 Broadgroup-Swords 12 Fighting Style Spec One-Handed 10 Two-Handed 8 Two-weapon 6 Specialization Katana 4 Its pretty easy to follow. I might be wrong with my numbers so dont quote me on it. Each Character will start the game with a family heirloom. A magic item worth 500 XP. Which they will treat with the utmost respect and reverence. also you dont have to take one but if you do, you must incorporate the item in your background.
