So don't get worried if the digest has only 1 or 2 emails, that just means the list has been slow. The entire island consists of only 27 hexes. All hexes are either plains (7 hexes) or mountains. All hexes in the vicinity of Krod & her sister city of Arezzo are mountains. There is no wood on the entire island. There are no swamps. i.e. there is not much room & it's not great territory for producers. As explained below, we have claimed and occupied all plains hexes so there is no good taxing territory -- only mountains in the southeast around Krod itself. Therefore, consider twice before coming here. War factions will find themselves severely constrained -- you will have to fight over 17 mountain hexes. The Xontormia Alliance has been installed on the island in the fertile Northwest since year 1. We have hundreds of combat trained- troops, plus hi-level magi. Although we may accept an ally or two -- producers or magi (an additional top-level magic faction would be particularly useful), we will not allow incursion on our lands. We claim all hexes within 2 hexes of Xontormia, plus the city itself. This means that all plains hexes are off-limits unless entrance is negotiated. Any units crossing into the plans northeast via the pass at 76,12 and 76,13 or the mountain hex 76,14 will be considered hostile and treated as such unless prior permission has been requested. In other words, stay out of 76,12; 76,13, and 77,13. Although the pass has been lightly fortified given the parvious absence of neighbors, we are now moving a substantial border guard into position. The default on these guards will be unfriendly, i.e. no one may enter without permission. Any units now on our lands must immediately contact us to arrange treaty, alliance, or safe passage back toward Krod or face extermination. We welcome overtures of friendship and alliance. Although our island is small and resource poor, we envision that it can be a peaceful refuge for students of magic and producers away from the continual turmoil of the larger continents. Can someone please tell me what "2 to 50" means? Does it mean that if you are attacking 50 enemies that a random generator chooses the number that are dazzled, so that the number dazzled might be 25, or 30, or 17 or any number between 2 and 50? Or does it mean that if you attack any number of enemies between 2 and 50 all of them are dazzled, i.e. if you attack 50 enemies, all of them are dazzled?
