As for G2 I'd probably do both. I realize that because of size, experience, & skill the AOO has a huge vice grip on Olympia 1. But I've always believed in sticking with the ship until it's actually sunk, not abandoning it when the crew or spectators say "you'll sink!" It seems to me that the right time to say, "drat, the AOO crushed me", is when they actually do crush you, & not before. To quit before then robs the victors of a well-earned crushing victory & robs you of the exciting experience of being utterly crushed.
