Alpha Test: MiliTech From: Apex Games <apex@blarg.net> Date: Sat, 30 Sep 1995 00:00:00 +0000 MiliTech: New PBEM Alpha-Test ----------------------------- SUMMARY: Apex Games is pleased to announce that their premier play-by-email game, "MiliTech", has reached the alpha-test stage of its development. During alpha testing, a limited number of players will participate at no charge. A beta test may follow later this year. When the the software is fully tested and fine-tuned, MiliTech will open to the general public at fees as low as US$1.00 per turn. ABOUT THE GAME: MiliTech is a strategy/development game set on a future Earth. Players design robots (usually with the help of our free computer-aided-design software) for offense, defense, technological development, spying, and infrastructure. Robots and resources can be bought and sold, providing a means for varying levels of cooperation and competition. MiliTech is distantly related to "mecha" type games, but with more of an empire-building flavor. HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Respond to this posting by EMAIL, or send mail directly to apex@blarg.net with "alpha test" in the Subject line. You will be sent (by email) a questionnaire which will enable us to gauge player interest, background, and computer resources. After we have received your completed questionnaire, you will be placed on a list of interested players. Alpha testers will be chosen at random from this list. ABOUT APEX GAMES: We are a new, tiny company, but dedicated to bringing you quality games at reasonable prices. MiliTech is our first offering, which we expect will be open to the general public within months. Other games are in the prototype stage, but due to our limited resources, we think it best to concentrate on one at a time. We hope you enjoy our games. /\ Apex Games /__\ / \ apex@blarg.net / APEX \ /________\ Up
